I would be interested, I want to get more time in with X-23. And cleanup my wolverine. And learn to play dormammu.
INFO COMING VERY SOON ON KC’S FIRST BIG MVC3 TOURNEY !!! FEB 26TH MARK YOUR CALANDERS. SSF4 Tekken TVC and Blaze as well.
What about a free copy of the game for the system of the winners choice?
New thread, my bad
Just in case anyone checks this in the next hour or so, there won’t likely be a ranbat tonight, but we will be playing MvC3, so if you’ve taken care of your V-Day plans or are happily/miserably single today, come out and get some MAHVEL on!
I’m gonna make it out to one of these things, so help me… sigh
Good games tonight at Meta and at the Best Buy tourney. Props to Alex for pulling out those wins. Though I completely forgot about a move Super-Skrull has that would’ve been a perfect counter for all the Sentinel shenanigans. Oh well, what can ya do. Enjoy the $30 gift card, brah!
Good games, guys. None of that stuff I did will ever work again, so I’m going to hop into the hyperbolic time chamber over the weekend.
Alright, MvC is out, I know we’re all playing it, one question for everyone though: How do you think we should manage the ranbats from here on out? As far as points, I do want to keep the games themselves separate. But as far as schedule goes, does everyone want to do a weekly rotation, stick with MvC3 or SSF4 for a while, etc.? Thoughts?
Do 2 tourneys each night - 1 for each game. If we have 4 setups, this shouldn’t be a problem, as long as we start near 7:30.
Oh boy. 2 tourneys in one night. Guess I better get back on SSF4 as well. No more messing around with Ibuki. All viper from here on out. Too many games to play. I’m using Trish/storm/morrigan btw if anyone is curious. Team fly or Double D’s as Zana would say. Viper on MVC will not work for me. My muscle memory kicks in when I do stuff with her. I tried to faint a burning kick lol.
Sounds good, I’ll give that a shot this Monday.
Gotta find a way to deal with that damn Wesker, lol. Well, just need to get my execution down in general. So many failed mirage feint crossups and random tenderizers with Skrull due to mashing:wonder:
I’m worried about the time we’ll spend button checking. Is everyone using the same button layout? I think mine is different so you guys will hate me for having to set it up before each match.
M H S
L A1 A2
That reminds me of blazblue layout. Some characters have use for buttons S + L. So my layout is:
L M H
S A1 A2
As long as your don’t have chars that use those two buttons, else I would like to see how those buttons as the same time.
Nobody is going to mind if you have to change the buttons, dude. ^^
I know, but it’s going to get annoying, at least for me, during casuals and stuff. Are the majority of the people using Sang’s layout? I’ll give that a try this weekend and see if it works for me.
That’s kind of the “default” for playing on sticks. If you change the control scheme to Beta, that’s what you get.
Unless you’re on an MvC stick, like me. Seriously, it puzzles me how they totally did not design one of the defaults to map to that stick
But yeah, the layout Sang posted is the default for the game.
All I have to do now is figure out how to play MVC3. And choose a team. And get some actual combos down. And learn to spam assists.
Just started to dig into MvC really good this morning, been running Spidey (Web Ball)/Wesker (Samurai Edge)/Iron Man (Unibeam) and Viper (Seismo)/Storm (Whirlwind)/Doom (Rocks).
In team 1, I use Wesker’s assist to set up OTG Maximum Spider, and use Unibeam to cover Web Zip approaches or Wesker teleports. Team 2 is basically all about giving Viper time and cover to approach and build meter for Storm, and DHC into Hailstorm.
Any opinions on these teams and how I can improve them? I’d like to get pretty decent so I can take a Monday off and bring some game to one of these tournaments.
