Also, we just began a weekly series. Here’s the details for that. It will be on Wednesday nights.
Was wondering if anyone had a PS3 stick they’d be willing to bring to Meta/NLG (When we get it started again), because I’d like to started bringing my PS3 since I have Arcana Heart 3, BlazBlue CS2 (With all DLC and colors), SSF4:AE, for at least an all time Casuals set up for those games (I also plan to get MvC3 sometime in the future).
Also, about the NLG, I think I’ll ask him to reopen on Sundays for it, since it seems (From what I recall) that all of us could get out there on that day. And about the place in general, the owner is apparently saving up money to get a full blown tournament room in the back, and is also trying to find ways around the legality of cash tournaments so we can hold some legit events here.
And about my SSF4 play, I think I know the reason why I’m messing up things I totally shouldn’t; I’m really nervous for some reason. <_< I noticed that when I played Dennis on BlazBlue, I was significantly more calm when I was playing. Probably just an issue of how long I’ve played, but I’ll be trying to get more comfortable with it, along with learning how to do some legit combos.
I’m working on getting one of my 360 sticks dual-modded and I do have another that’ll work on PS3, so I can bring it up.
I really want to dual mod mine. It would be nice to not have to worry about having enough sticks for either system
Learned a lot yesterday guys. I have 2 ps3 sticks. I usually keep 1 in my trunk. So 1 is always guaranteed to be on me unless I didn’t bring my car. If anyone was wondering what was the Yun combo I was doing, it was:
Cr. light kick > St. light punch > Cr. medium punch > St. medium punch > Heavy dragon kick.
I have a PS3 stick too that I can bring. If we get Arcana Heart poppin’ I’ll be sure to get a few games in too (although I’m probably not going to be there next week).
As far as being nervous goes, that gets better with experience. The more you play people in real life the more comfortable you’ll be.
So Springfield folk, we had started speaking of trying to host a tournament for the “Greater Missouri” area. I’d like to see if we could begin working out the specifics. Interested? Please say so!
Hopefully I don’t sound ignorant for not knowing, but what exactly is the “Greater Missouri” area, and where would said tournament be held?
I only ask because I’ve recently pulled a Guile and gone home to be a family man, so location and travel time are gonna be a big factor in my ability to attend.

Uncertain. It’s been done before with some of the KC and STL players. Venue previously was Meta. This is in the very-early idea stage at this point, although I’m sure we’ll get more flushed out as people sound off throughout the week, and we can always speak directly at a weekly.
So, I just spoke with Fred up at NLG and he says the earliest he could possibly open up Sundays again was late July, and that’s a maybe. I say we should attend on Saturdays for a while, because he said if enough people ask about Sundays, he’d be more willing to open it up again. We can even start it up this week if anyone else is wants to. Just leave me a time you think would be best for the Saturday meets.
Probably same time as Sundays were, around Noon or so until close or whenever.
Also, updated the OP with ranking information for AE. Great turnout, and major props to Josh for getting 2nd with Dan. Excellent play, man!
Also went ahead and reset rankings for MvC3 to put everything on a fresh slate.

Nah, that wasn’t luck. You put in serious work with Dan, and it really threw me for a loop. Shotos can be a pain for Yun anyway, and that stand mk is a sick poke.
Really wish I could come up this Saturday since I won’t be able to make Monday night, but I have a family reunion to attend. 
If we ever did hold another tourney I’m pretty sure both STL and KC would have some kind of presence…but I’m not sure where we could host it. Meta let us do it back in '09, but I think that was just because Jeff was really into fighters and he pushed for it. It does take up a lot of space on the weekend when they’re the busiest. Not trying to discourage anyone from attempting it, just being realistic. It would be great to have another one in Springfield, though.
gg’s on monday everyone! Gen has obviously gotten a lot better, now I just need to… Sim still feels like Sim for the most part… Overall I’m loving AE and can’t wait to actually put in some time with it. See you all next week, hopefully for more AE instead of that other game
