The game is good but its going to have the same fate as every other MK game since Trilogy. Mainly - its very very simple, there is no real depth and its only fun for face value. I enjoy it, and its $ well spent. If people think this game will be played in tournaments bigger than 16 by the end of year you’re dreaming.
Again - good game, I’m having fun with it but its gonna go to shit very fast no matter how much they patch it.
All I know is that if I go to ECT, I will be playing this game there.

I do agree with pat, the game is fun but the clunkiness can be frustrating. Maybe I need to play offline more to get a better feel. Ill give it time but right now its to frustrating to take seriously.

It’s a good game, and I think it actually has some depth to it. I have been playing Mortal Kombat since the first one came out in arcades, and I didn’t really feel like it was Mortal Kombat anymore after 3 or 4. This game takes elements from a lot of other fighters, and doesn’t strictly feel like MK, but it seems pretty legit, and I really do think it might last, at least for a while. In any case, it’s great fun, and it was a good buy.
TL;DR: New MK is good, Pat sounds like a hater. :razzy:
It will definitely take a while to get a feel for the game, and I would definitely recommend offline play. I heard that the online play is really bad; very laggy. It might just be that they are still tweaking it, though.
