Im gonna play everyone day 1 lol and see who clicks with me. I was never good at MvC2 so this is gonna be a brand new experience for me.
Rene, I think you might be at the advantage having not been to much into MvC2. This seems like a very new game with some aspects of MvC2 and TvC in the mix. I want to try to find a team involving Dormammu, Skrull, and Storm but I have no idea honestly. I haven’t seen any one pulling any thing cool with Dormammu, in fact, all the footage is basically someone not looking like they even know his moves.
No clue who i’ll use in the end though. Need to play the game and see what meshes well. So much stuff looks good on paper but who knows how it works in practice.

Meetups - not at my place. I haven’t had one here since awhile back. I’ll make a post reguarding MvC3 and launch night/day fun when I go back to work Tuesday and find out how GP is doing.

I don’t know as for what team Im interested, but it will probably be whatever is the best possible combination between Iron Man, Wesker, Spencer, Viper, Akuma, Thor, Trish and Dormammu. I will try and get around to everyone eventually though; I usually do when I really like the game in question anyway. Still my first serious team will likely involve some combination of those characters.
ATTENTION: The brady games guide is going to include frame data! I would like to strongly suggest that at least one copy of the guide be available for the marvel party, that wat people have something valuable to do if they wait for matches. Frame Data isn’t everything, but It can certainly help people design a few strats.

High Roller tourney-Special edition
$5 entry and the difference between this and normal high roller tourney’s is that it’s Winner takes all!
The idea seemed to be accepted by the 3 players that were listed but they all said that I should post up and get more opinion’s on the idea. I want to run a tourney in my home town of Mansfield at this asain resturant. I haven’t ran a tourney in a while(since Digital Mayhem and Battlegrounds) so I have had the urge to run a tourney. I will list my other idea’s so please give an opinion on them.
1.Random teams(Your teammate will be chosen at random)
2.Character lock
3.SBO style tourney
4.low tier tourney
5.Seperate system tourney(SSF4 only atm)
6.Single teams(One player gets to use two characters)
7.New Character only
One of these tourney I would like to run after singles(normal rules) so I just wanted to add a little change to the MA tourney scene. If I have enough interest then I would run a tourney in the future. The only one I discussed with the 3 listed players is the High Roller tourney.
Haha what…? First of all Tom, I don’t quite know if I should trust you after you were endorsing that shady TO from Roxbury. To boot these ideas seem kind of…ridiculous. Singles teams MIGHT be interesting. The others are just not worth the time or money. Just throw a regular $5 tournament lol.

So…I am down to play sometime before MvC3. Anyone else? Also, Arcana Heart 3 is surprisingly fun.
- I’ve no interest in random teams.
- It would be interesting if you ran the main tournament as character lock.
- I don’t think we’d have enough people to run a great SBO style tournament.
- I’m not really interested in a low tier tournament for this game. I think that kind of tournament is better suited for more unbalanced games.
- I’d prefer the tournament be on just one system.
- Single teams would definitely be interesting!
- I would be down for a new character only tournament. It’s still not very common to see the new characters played, and that would give people an excuse to give them more focus, and maybe learn some of the new character matchups.
