When I’m not jumping into this thread like and posting like an obnoxious fuck and being bad at fighting games I occasionally enjoy supporting some sort of open FGC started in the area.
There’s a small tournament over at VGC in Chicopee. It’s $5 venue $5 entry. I’m willing to provide venue for a few people just to get them through the door. It’s UMvC3 @ 2 PM on Saturday the 27th.
If a few people in the thread have any interest in wasting some time on a Saturday afternoon and probably kicking everyone’s ass let me know and I can put up lets say $20 for 4 people’s venue fee. For entry you’re on your own but talking to the organizer it’s winner takes all or 70/30 if he gets enough people.

Sounds good. I just managed to scrape together an Xbox 360 setup and I’m going into the place tomorrow to see if they’re cool with using it for the tournament. The store didn’t know if they would have an X360 setup ready and I don’t want to exclude people without dual modded sticks.
If I got work off, I’ll show up and mash in Marvel.
If the VGC tournament’s still on, I just got another confirmed entrant.
I work on Saturday so I won’t be able to make it to the VGC tournament.

I’m sorry to hear you can’t make it Kona, I honestly didn’t know about it until I happened into the shop one day or I would have posted more notice.
Metallix you want to PM me the names/numbers of you and the other entrant I can stop in, sign you both up, and pay. Otherwise I think you can just stop in the shop, sign up, and I can pay your venue as long as you tell me which two entrant names to look for when I stop in. Though I think it’s also possible to just show up the day of they would rather have people sign up in advance to hype it.
I’m having a few SE sticks shipped to me so I’ll have an extra if someone needs one as I’m guessing the venue can only provide pads.
Even if I got advanced notice, I’m still under orientation period from my job so I can’t really take time off lol. However, they did let me take time off for NEC since it’ll be a month after my orientation period.
