Fulham were an interesting bet at 5-1 last night against the Yids. Was great fun from a trading point of view. From about 35 mins onwards you could see them tiring and a trade followed by a lay was inevitable. I love Woy Hodgson and his wascally ways, but his squad simply dont have the depth for a 60 odd game season.
Milwall were also a great punt on monday against a faltering Leeds side. I had a cheeky double on millwall and overs, but the overs let me down sadly.
Doesnt seem to be a huge amount of value round this weekend. Yids vs Portsmouth looks nailed on, but at 1-4 I cant bear to trust ol’ Dogface with my money. Maybe a double with Man U away at 1-2, but still its a risky one. I think unders in the Hull Fulham game will be my main bet depending on odds.

never do a parlay unless it’s correlated which most books won’t let you do (i.e. something like Team +big number and under low number, happens a lot in the NFL especially half bets. something like +7.5 o/u20.5, since if u20.5). if you have an idiot local guy though you can exploit them until they just disappear from town and not pay you.
teasers are fine in certain situations [depends what points you are teasing through], i wouldn’t recommend CBB though since the market isn’t that accurate. something like nfl/nba are better for it. of course nfl has the famous basic strat teasers which will get your limits cut at most books eventually and nfl pre season is so much free money with teasers

I never do. BBC is good if Im at work and cant get full internet, but apart from Dixon and Keown, most of their pundits are morons.
Lawrenson is massively biased towards his former clubs (like a poor man’s Hansen, who also does my nut in). Only Jamie Redknapp annoys me more.
Champions league games this week snt it? Not touching that with a bargepole betting wise, but plenty of trading opportunities, so should be good fun.
Did you put anything on in the end? I did Man U as a single and Fulham unders as a single, but avoided the Yids game as couldnt bear to back them at such nailed on odds.
As a rule, like someone else stated earlier, I usually stay away from betting anything this late in the season. Especially in Champions League when it gets past the round of 16. I’m awful at predicting those, and I have enough fun just watching the games.
I will say I’m glad this thread has gotten some new life recently. I started it to get a read on what everyone else was playing, and it’s interesting to read people’s thoughts from a betting perspective.
Usually only bet NFL and some College Football, but decided ima try to bet some MLB this year. I follow baseball closer than any other sport with football close behind, but haven’t ever got around to betting on it as it’s simply harder than football, ima give it a shot.
Yeah Im only doing one more week of straight betting then just going to enjoy the run in. Going to trade like a mofo mind, thats where I make most of my money these days.

. i watched the live matches and is quite depressing that i did not place my bets on the homes in EPL . but many people lose on soccer bets last saturday . all thanks to Spainish and italian league , they are so wtf .

Yeah…La liga and Series A have been pretty wtf the last 2 weekends. I made out well on Manchester City today at 1 1/2 goals. Good old Tevez with the hat trick in the last 15 minutes of the match…phew.
I having been thinking about the 2 CL matches tomorrow but I just can’t decide to put money down. Bayern was such a disappointment in the last round (and hurt me betting wise) and I can only think that they are due to show up tomorrow and screw me if I bet against them.
My money will go to NBA tomorrow. I plan to parlay Thunder by 6 over 76ers and Suns by 3.5 over Bulls, both away. You’d think Western Conference contenders would be able to cover that so it seems reasonable.

No kidding about Juventus, they completely fell off. But you know what? This makes them a solid bet though because they will get favours as a road team or partially better odds when home. They aren’t that bad a team.
I am so scared with Tottenham. They have killed me early (2 losses to the Wolves, really?) but since then they came through for me in 2 matches. I am scared to bet any other games until they lose because I know next game I bet will be the one they bite me. It’s like…not even superstition at this point. Sometimes when you bet enough you just know, can’t explain it.
Chelsea v. Man U this weekend seems like a juicy game. I have to say I like Chelsea in that one.
I got absolutely killed in Brasil Series A on Sunday…lost 2 games due to a last minute own goal in each match…lol. Can’t hate too much on that. Thankfully another game covered me so it negated any losses. Sports are just so much more fun when there is money on it. Of course, still need to make sure within your limit…can’t be overly celebratory on wins and can’t get angry about losses.
i was betting both side :S . 1.33 nulls on Bayern and 0.5 goal 1.06 on manU . so i won 0.33 !!

Quite interesting on the BBC livetext last night, someone said Bayern to get 2 goals late in the game to reverse mirror '99. Wouldve got some sweet odds on that. I did quite nicely trading under 2.5s early in the second half. Big price drops early on there.
Tottenham are befinately a safer bet these days than they used to be. Finally starting to realise their potential, just depends on how much ridiculous wheelin n dealin Redknapp does in the summer. They have the core of an excellent team.
I think that Chelsea may prove too strong for Man U at the weekend especially after a gruelling and emotionally draining game last night. A lot depends on Rooney coming through that ankle injury. I may give it til half time and do a sneaky lay of Man U if its still a draw or Man U are winning. Can see them tiring late on.
Fulham and Stoke games look nailed on for under 2.5 to me, but odds will no doubt not be in my favour. Im tempted by a cheeky lay of Man City at Burnley.

trading the arsenal barca game is the most fun Ive ever had with my clothes on. Barca backed in from 2.28 to 2s in 10mins. Arsenal get the ball it goes back out 4-8ticks. Barca get it back and it drops back down.

After time edit: 1,000,000 matched on Barca at 1.05. Few people on suicide watch tonight I bet. I got about 14 ticks on Barca by half time, then a quick dabble on trading under 2.5s but got out before the second thank god.
Liverpool game tomorrow will be very interesting. Will watch the first ten mins and decide bets then. If they start cautious, then its an under 2.5 bet and a good bit of trading. If Torres and Gerrard are playing, and firing, and Benitiz is looking for more than a draw then overs will be the way to go.

I was set on Chelsea before Rooney was injured and now it’s not even questionable. If Chelsea is beat or tie, there is no excuse for it. At all.

Im laying Man City at Burnley, so a burnley win or a draw will see me get my money! Too lazy to check odds yet.
Otherwise unders in the fulham game and maybe even a lay of them at half time depending on scores. Stoke hull is unders for me. Gonna have a nibble at unders in the Chelsea game too as drogba and rooney apparently out.
In serie A, Chievo and Sampdoria looks a low one to me. So gonna back unders for 1.5 and 2.5.

I don’t think it will affect the under too much but Drogba is fit to start. I have not placed my wagers yet because I have a sickening feeling one of the Yids or Man City will crap out on the match. I tend to stay away from Chievo and Sampdoria…I bet a few times on them and got burned. Seedorf bailed me out a couple weeks ago when he came in as a sub in the 80th minute and scored a magnificant goal in the 87th to allow me to come out with a 1-0 AC Mila home win over Chievo. That game was tense.
