Like I knew that Penn State was not as good as their rank, I just didn’t know they were that bad. Ohio State and maybe even Michigan should be free games against PSU this year.
Also a summary of my weekend so far, I use a site, though now that PA has legalized sportsbooks it seems I might have an unshady way to do it.
Balance as of Saturday 220 bucks (yes I am a small potatos man)
lost 130 on Saturday
If all my sunday glee comes to fruition I may break even
That game was so bad. I mean they should have won by three touchdowns. At the end you just knew the next drive was going to end in a turnover.
I’m at around $350 right now.
I start the year with $100, had an average first week (up like $60), kinda bad second week. This week put me up big though.
Won in NCAA this weekend winning with Missouri -8, Boston College -1, Marshall +3, OSU -14.5, Central Michigan -16, Oregon +6, TCU +3, CSU +19.5, and Kent -7.
Lost Kentucky, Tennessee and Penn State.
Also won three games in MLS, and two games in Premier League including that Everton tip, which was great). .
So this weekend has been good.
Today I’m rolling into Sunderland (which just came through with a 5-2 win, easy) and Man City in Premier league. I expect Man City to come through also.
Also have lots of NFL on the table including the Bears game mentioned above which I think is one of the best picks of the day.
It wasn’t pretty but the Bears came through. I’m actually up despite being below .500 this week, because Ive won my big money games.
Lets go Indy. I have them +2.5 @ Ari tonight . And if Dallas doesn’t cover Monday night I’ll be above .500 and would turn an alright week into a good one.
Anyone can say they won all their games today. I can say that too. Pretty sure it’d be better to put who you’re picking in here before you go off and say you won all your bets.
However, I saw this thread a little too late. Today, I went 8-2 in NFL bets, betting $200 a game. Miami+5.5 failing was a hard hit to me :(… And Houston-3.5 was bad too… Well, it wasn’t bad, Shaub just has Jake Delhomme syndrome. Do good a game, play your worst game the next. :|.
Anyways, I’m throwing $550 to win $500 on Arizona-3 tonight. I wish I had it at 2.5, but I’m expecting them to win by at least 10 tonight.
Yeah, it was easier to put up the screenshot of my 6 game parlay, which included all of the picks I had for the day. Going through three pages futures and prop bet picks and copying screenshots is a pain in the ass.
Usually what I’ll do with the crazy parlay is put a few bucks down on a parlay with most or all of the games I played.
That way in the crazy event that I pick them all right I get kind of a jackpot payout.
I didn’t wake up in time to get any action on the 1pm games or I would have lost the NE vs. ATL, the Houston game, and the Minnesota game.
lol, it must be nice banking the kind of cash you do in tourneys to be able to drop 500 on games, but I don’t have that kind of $$.
If I win this big parlay I will start moving up to $100 bets, but for now I’m still on $25 per game.
edit I agree we should put our picks up before the games start, I think most of us commented on at least a few before they happened. Some won, some didn’t.
Do you mean the methods that they pay you? Just about every sportsbook will either mail you a check or set up up something via Western Union.
None of them use paypal (they used to though).
Go to the odds section on covers.com (great resource btw) and you will get links to just about every reputable online book there is.
Yeah, I got extremely lucky taking the Bengals on the moneyline. I was on the edge of my seat at the end of that one (partly because I’m a Bengals fan, and partly because it meant I was on my way to big money).
Everything else was like you said, the team that should have won did, and they just all covered.
The Bears were another lucky one that came down to the very end.
glad you got some on portsmouth Luckyday. Gonna havea look at their next ixture, but can see their price rockting. I managed to lay derby when they had their dire season in their only win against newcastle lol anything over 6s I wont touch due to the psychological damage it does to me!
Wigan were very interesting (ive got Bramble in my dream team so wahey!). There is a thread somewhere on the betair orum about a system o laying odds on away teams and then martingayling up when it goes against you. Must be some value their somwhere, especially in the premiership, but never sat down to analyse the historical stats.
Another good one I tried was looking thru the Racing Posts tipster tables and picking a poor one and laying their backs. I made about 60 and then they stopped tipping lol Quite a good thread about ddoing this over at betair with a certain tipster, whose name eludes me right now.
(apologies or dodgy spelling, keyboard is missing certain letters)
while i am here, can you guys get access to betting exchanges in the states?
worth looking up ‘money saving expert’ site and go in the orum and look or the ‘matched betting thread’. Very simple way to make some extra pennies with only a little work.
Was up early for work today and randomly tuned into Talksport radio (wonderfully racist/facist uk talk station) and Peter Storrie was giving a live interview. He is hanging around and does sound very positive.
I think I am gonna lay Wolves for that one. Portsmouth were desperately unlucky not to get something out of the Toffees (thank god they didnt) and Wolves defence capitulated against Sunderland (got Bent in my dream team too wahey again). Will wait for the odds, but can see the bookies putting it down as pretty close odds for any outcome. Hopefully wolves playing at home will make the price drop, anything lowers than 3s is a bargain and I will lay the shit out of it.
anyone getting involved in the champions league? so hard to find value. Porto at home to A. Madrid should be a result for the home team, as Madrid are suffering this season, but depends on the price.
Otherwise, Tottenham away to Bolton looks good at this stage. Yids are free scoring and full of confidence. Price will probably be odds on, despite the venue which will be a shame.
You guys should look at the odds for Shogun vs Machida at UFC 104. Shogun has a VERY good chance of winning…even though hes a 10/3 underdog. If I knew of a place where I could bet online (hook me up) then I would DEF put some $$$ on Shogun.
