It’s pretty obvious. He’s just tired. Overworked himself traveling across the country for peanuts. He’s tired of dealing with poopy TOs, Stream monsters not following him to own3d, I mean there’s a reason why he said that the twitchcops won, and that “Yeah spooky is godlike, 3000 people viewing a major. Yeah.” He’s just sick of it all.
He’s burnt out, that and why stay when your not having fun, go out and enjoy your life Spooky. He did set a standard that will be hard to match man especially when those streams look straight movie quality shit was beautiful.
Edit: can someone explain the whole twitch cops thing? I’m lost on that one.
I feel really bad about him moving to own3d. He needs to post vids on his YT channel just to get people to pop up, but own3d is just such a pain and the chat sucks. I know there’s an IRC but it’s just not the same.
And before anyone says the chat doesn’t matter, the chat helps foster a community for the stream. It helps people who might not have anyone to discuss the event with. The chat on Twitch is a lot more convenient to use than it is on Own3d. Coincidentally, I can have better conversations on own3d’s chat.
Yeah, but Twitch told him all the problems were his fault and basically told him he didn’t know what the fuck he was doing. He had to switch at that point, because if they aren’t going to make improvements for literally one of their biggest streamers, then they don’t deserve to make money off of him.
When Spooky was on twitch things we’re so chill , so cool , so many viewers. Even though I was one of the few people to actually follow him on own3d I still think it was a very bad move for him to switch to own3d , things just aren’t the same.
Sp00ky, if you are reading this, I have to tell you that your streams are among the best I have ever seen, not just for fighting games, but for everything. They are perfect in almost every way. I commend you for your efforts, and I look forward to seeing you somewhere else in the scene. If you would still come back and do EVO every year, I and many others would be very grateful, as I could never take a trip to evo event to watch it, and your streams are very consistent.
I think you will be missed all around the scene, sadly, too many people hate on you, and not enough people congratulate you for your tireless efforts. Thank you for pioneering online streaming for the FGC.

Own3d is way more stable which is better for everyone. You guys not going because of the chat lacking faces are idiots.

Twitch had a lot of problems for the streamers.
you fucking idiots, all you have to do is press the fucking chat button on the video frame and put in a nickname, it is EASIER to use than twitch tv. jesus christ.

Twitch chat is imbedded next to the video. Every time I want to use Own3d chat, it pops up in a new window. If own3d could find a way to imbed IRC next to the video, I’d agree with you.
All I remember before the switch from Twitch all the times he had to find someone to bring back the quality selection, report the viewer counter broken, twitch servers acting up, etc. and these were consistent. With all the places he was going to to stream and the numbers increasing, I don’t think he could keep dealing with those issues, so he went to own3d, which is better.
All the viewers didn’t transfer over though sadly.
