I’m still having trouble getting into MvC3. It seems like I either get paired with someone who wrecks me in 20 seconds, or someone who is so much worse than me that neither of us have fun. Keepaway teams drive me up the wall too. Not putting this game away yet though…
I haven’t touched SSF4 in weeks so I should be pretty crappy at that too, heh.
I would be up for attending on Friday if you host. I’ve been having a lot of fun with marvel. I’m certainly not great at it, but I have been enjoying playing characters that have lots of options. 
I should be good for friday, like anti-freak i’ve missed like the last 3 gatherings as well. It all depends how much homework I get during the week. This week is deadweek and next week finals, so who knows.
I’m hosting Thursday at my place in Cheney from 5-midnight Marvel.
If people want I’ll also have a street fighter setup if somebody brings an Xbox.
