How do you cancel her counter into other stuff? I can’t do anything until it recovers.

On the plus side, ex-senpusha looks good now and the jump cancel combos in the corner feel easier… though that might just be me.

Ugh…I hate these nerfs…cl.hp new combos? IT MAKES ME WHIFF MOVES THAT I NORAMLLY CAN PULL OFF EASILY!! they nerfed a move that was good enough before…
It could have benefited certain combos which could only juggle at a certain height, like King’s Jumping Knee Lift. Who knows? Some things that could be considered a nerf to the character could actually be a buff for his teammate.
I’m doing that and she only attacks after she recovers. Maybe I’m missing something but this does not look like a cancel to me.
Can you combo anything off a cl.hp if you do cl.hp > CADC?
clhp>CADC is nto possible…hell cl.hp was better before this so called “buff”.
Yeah I’m disappointed. Before I didn’t have to time things after landing cl.hp…now I have to be wary. I was all excited for new combo possibilties…yet I get a nerf instead…like really. The only good thing that came out of this patch was cr.hp is still above godlike AA. Ex Senpusha is easier to combo off and meter gain was buffed nicely.
Next patch better have something nicely buffed.Fuhajin does more damage, Kasatushi can counter everything except throws, dash decreased back to 17f, cl.mk 6f sartup, ability to use FSE. Honestly Kaisen DanKairaku is awesome…but I would trade it for FSE. The cinematic would be total badassary “I think I’ll let you die before you know what you…how does that sound.” stays active for 15 seconds, unable to swap partners or do anykind of partner related action, gains cancelable to all her normals, requires max cross gauge, gains 10% dmg boost, gains 15% speed boost. Last hit of Shikusen (3rd striek) becomes unblockable just like in her OVA.
Or if that’s too much give Juri a command grab and air throw. Her judo throw, the one she KO’ed one of the dols with would be perfect. A vicious arm throw followed by a gut stomp while laughing and taunting.
Air throw…something awesome. Man I want Feng Shui Engine…the eye had so much power and potential.
As much as I’d love this, just because I love the dynamic and new gameplay options created when new moves are introduced to character movesets, and because I’d love Juri to have any kind of buff instead of the slow whittling she’s been suffering with each patch (I still love you, baby!) I don’t think an air throw would work with her. She has great anti-air normals and her air to air MP or HK (when you are higher) are extremely good.
A command throw makes sense with her moveset, though. Would give her a really great mixup game if combined with her good overhead, counter, and solid lows. Since her specials are all unsafe, this would really help her pressure game.
Will it happen? Probably not.
After about 30 minutes with the patch Juri is feeling more or less the same. The nerf to her cr. HP is annoying because things I used to swat will not trade with me or occasionally beat me but once the timing becomes second nature (a lot of the problem is very likely me needing to unlearn now obsolete muscle memory) I don’t feel like she’s much worse. She is, though, certainly not better in any way.

Ex senpusha change seems to make following up with a normal actually harder for some reason…
Otherwise it’s same old Juri minus jump cancel on block stuff that I already trained myself not to use…
So what’s everyone’s no-meter and 1-meter bnb’s midscreen and corner now?
The combos themselves havn’t really changed for me, aside from having to do cr.hp xx release > fs.mp xx hk.senpusha in the corner due to a second cr.hp whiffing >.>

I won’t yell at you sweetie. My reflexes aren’t SUPER great either, however like I said before I try not to throw in light attacks during combos or for starting off combo’s. I use them sometimes for quick ABC launchers and put some distance away on block. For me if they block any M attack into Fuhajin kick is safe from any anyone. Then I can start mix-ups. Since Kasatushi is above godlike levels I use that that to the point of abusing in which people stop during pressure strings to make it whiff when they think I’ll do it then I start up my pressure.
Or if they wish to tick throw me I may do the following (M/H Fuhajin shot if I got one stored since it beats all throws), Ex Senpusha, backdash, jump (probably second most unsafe thing to do) or tech it.
It’s been a while, remind me: Did grab always beat wake-up EX pinwheel in this game?
