I was pleasantly surprised at how good the What If Spider-Man House of M comic was! The main story asks what if Gwen survived House of M. McKeever did a great job with this story. If you are a fan of either Peter and MJ or Peter and Gwen you will still enjoy it! :tup:
In a Newsarama interview, McKeever was asked if Peter will be married to MJ in the story. He said something along the lines of it won’t matter if he’s married to her in the story. Well he is married to MJ heh! :lovin:
Why Marvel won’t put McKeever on Amazing Spider-Man, the main reason why he left Marvel the first time around is beyond me.
Pete was also married to MJ in Frank Tieri’s story that followed. Which was also enjoyable and written in a way that if you were a Spidey/MJ fan or a Spidey/Gwen fan you could dig it.

Yeah, last image is MJ in a wedding dress as predicted by almost everyone. Probably because JQ’s “What really happened on Spidey’s wedding day” is supposed to come in 2010. I suppose there’s always some hope that they’ll bring the marriage back next year. It’s doubtful but who knows.

Personally, I was hoping they would keep on ignoring it. I really hope they don’t retcon the retcon. I’m not a huge fan of how OMD was done, but the stories that have spun out of it vastly improved the book’s quality.

I’m really indifferent to a lot of things in ASM nowadays. The quality of the book is so uneven with all of the multiple writers and artists. I wish Slott and JRjr did every issue. Than a lot of the changes would be easier to accept. Not fond of 3 books a month either. So I just get the stories that seem interesting. Doubt that’s gonna change in 2010. Errr… this year, I mean.

They should just say they got divorced because since the very start of BND Peter and later MJ act EXACTLY like they got a divorce. It’s only Peter’s bonehead comments like “I’m too young to be married” that say otherwise. But Marvel wants to have thier non-wedding cake and eat it too…

So much truth, particularly about the multiple writers. I swear, Marvel just wanted a quick status quo (or the illusion of one) and that issue #600 bullshit. The only way I’d accept Romita Jr’s art is if they put the book back to monthly, because he gets so fucking sloppy when he’s rushed. Speaking of art, ASM needs more Marcos Martin please.
I do have to say that if it is Baby May in the drawing I’d be surprised. I think it’s Osborn’s baby though, after knocking up Lily. Green eyes are the give-away. May had / has blue eyes. We’ll see I guess.
That and if Baby May was still alive, she’d be about 4 right now or so. (Harry died about 4 years ago, May’s birth would be soon after give or take). Of course Norman could have frozen her in a capsule or something. I dunno though, brings up a lot of baggage concerning the marriage and the miscarriage that I doubt Marvel would want to address. Even before OMD/BND, the pregnancy/miscarriage is never mentioned again. Outside of Spider-Girl of course.
