Cmooooooon. The first two BND arcs were great! Don’t even joke 'bout that!
Seems like someone asks about Reign every other month. I still think it’s a good read. The first chapter particularly stood out to me, but it pretty much ended up being a Dark Knight Returns redux for Spidey. That is not a bad thing, of course, but I feel like it had potential to be something more. Artwork is pretty fantastic.
Speaking of Zeb Wells, did you ever read Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One? That is actually a really good story, and Kaare Andrews does the art for that. And Spidey/Doc Ock: Negative Exposure by BKV is something else I really feel is one of the best.
Lee Weeks is a great artist. He doesn’t get enough respect. Did you read that one arc he drew in Tangled Web? The story was A Gentlemen’s Agreement and Bruce Jones wrote it.
Sorry, man but that’s no joke. I’m trying to lay how here on the BND bashing so I’ll just say I didn’t care for the first three BND arcs including Slott’s.
Anyone read Ultimate Spidey #120? Thought it was a solid issue! If you haven’t read it, I won’t say anything to spoil it.
I picked up Zeb Wells 3 part story The Rules of the Game in Peter Parker: Spider-Man #54-55. I already had #53 from years earlier and I never got around to buying the other issues. They were both $1 each.
I’ve been picking up USM more and more since SI started drawing it.
That last 3 issues were so good I picked up the Death of a Goblin arc too.
Solid read as always, but much better without Bagley bringing it down.
…That’s right, I went there.
SI on USM is instant win. I was bummed when I heard Bagley was leaving the book and SI was an unknown artist to me. When I saw his work on the book, I knew USM’s art was in good hands. I hope SI stays on USM for a very long time.
MadGoblin has a new article up at Spidey Kicks Butt: http://www.spideykicksbutt.com/YearinReview/BlandNewDay.html
I picked up the entire 3 issue 2001 mini series Spider-Man: The Mysterio Manifesto. This mini is written by Tom DeFalco and drawn by Lee Weeks. I love DeFalco’s work but the main reason I bought this was for Lee Weeks artwork. After seeing his art on Death & Destiny, I HAD to cop me some more Spidey Weeks art. Next up is the Tangled Web #7-9 arc. Weeks worked on that as well.
Just found out my manager at work is related to Mark Bagley. I thought that was cool. me and the other comic geek here started wiggin’ out. That guy is so underrated.
Woah got a name for the TPB/collected issues he did?
Not a problem by me, tho they could’ve released it under the Marvel MAX line :V
Spec Spidey continues to deliver! Today’s ep was pure win! Rhino, Captain Stacy, MJ! Loved it!!
I was quite surprised at the big man’s identity! Weisman for president! :woot:
I just watched “The Invisible Hand” again. Man, everything about that ep is brilliant! Tombstone is actually wearing the same suit he wore on the cover of Spectacular Spider-Man #139.
It’s called “Spider-Man: The Manga” and 31 single issues came out. Best bet to pick them up is the usual suspects, comic book store, backbins, Ebay, conventions, etc. Some basic info about the series over at Wiki -
first manga ever given to me. my mom got me the japanese version when it came out in like 96.
Given that One More Day is over, we should retcon the current spiderman continuim to fit this versions

Thanks:woot:
It was a really good annual. Well deserved.
OMD?
HECK. NO. Its The Sensational Spider-Man Annual.
That was an standout issue. Matt Fraction, baby! And Salva. That issue kind of reminded me of some of Jenkins’ great one-and-done stories.
