So hyped. Just really wondering about the price so I can save my pennies.
OMG. How did I just found out about this?
I NEED one of those too (gonna make mini(24mm buttons) and silent(JLF with Spark) stick to play PSPGo, Ipad, PC via blutooth on the train ^^)
it’s mainly to play shmups I guess though… any ideas on how I can make a JLF with spark feel a bit more like a seimitsu LS ? restrictor gate ? spring ? (spark cat fit on a seimitsu LS, now, can it?)
Will you ship to europe ?
I hope you can bundle the pcb kit with DC-DC converter for those who want it, or direct them to easily availaible one (worldwide) I’m planing on using this with a Leo2 board, so I’ll prolly use 2x 3.7 batteries in // .
You can put heat-shrink tubing over the actuator to make the direction activation feel tighter and change the spring for a different feel.
I’m stalking this thread waiting for a pre-order of some kind.
Sparks work the opposite way; making the actuator larger would make it LESS sensistive.
In that case, you need to talk to Rick Moranis about a shrinking machine.
O_O really? that is hot stuff! where should i send it to?
edit: nvm i found it.

for anyone else who wants a sticker.
also, are newly purchased cthulus guaranteed to come with stickers? or are you the only one who distributes them?
If I have stickers on hand, I include them with PS3 and MC Cthulhus before they’re sent to distributors.
Hey toodles how big is the sticker? I want to know what size envelope to send.
Good old fashioned #10 works best.
Any estimates on the price for these things yet? Gonna have to start saving my $ if I wanna pick one of these up right off the bat.
+1 and what is approx availability date for final product?
or maybe you can sell prototype?
want to buy
hey Toodles i want to buy one of your optic pcb to replace my ascii.do u have 1 available?
i’m interested.
put me down for one.
how far along development are we talking?
i still have my sanwa flash.
i love it. so if this thing is real it’ll be a real treat to all of us.
- How much would you pay for a kit you had to solder yourself?
yes. - How much for a ready-to-use already soldered piece?
35-45 range - How much for a kit if it did not have the DC-DC converter?
25-35 range - How much for a ready-to-use piece without the DC-DC converter?
55-65 - How many of each would you expect to buy?

Where there any changes made to the production units from the prototypes?

Design is done. The plastic housings are made an en route. The power wire and connector pieces have been ordered and should arrive within two weeks. The pcb is laid out and being made and assembled now; it’s just a questions of when the pcb’s will be done and on their way that I dont have an answer for. If its anything like the other boards I get made, I wont know anything until they ship, and like 3 days later they’ll be here and I’ll be busy bagging.
None that are really significant. The PCB was cleaned up to just look nicer, but otherwise it’s the same as the protos.
Will the MC Cthulu work with the new Flash units?
I was finishing up a long-delayed joystick project and noticed the VCC screwtab in there… The one we’re NOT supposed to touch.
From instructions.
Spark is made to use +5V.
So doing the VCC Screw is needed.
But if you are using PlayStation or PlayStation 2, then Step-up Converter should me used.
Since the VCC Screw in Multi-Console Cthulhu is not regulated.
jdm, how about on 360 + mc cthulhu dual mod when plugged into ps1, ps2 and dreamcast specifically? is step-up still needed then?
and what does this new optical pcb do to the value of a real (unused) sanwa flash kit? i just found 1 in my box of random stick building stuff from '08 lol
If the Console is PlayStation or PlayStation 2, then Step-up Converter need.
Dreamcast is +5V though, so you good there.
What does the Spark do to value of FLASH 1?
Well I hope the price of FLASH 1 go down!
I want to buy yours if complete.
A complete Sanwa JLHS-8Y FLASH 1 was only 3,500 Yen retail when it came out.
3,800 Yen for the ones with Mounting Plate.
2,900 Yen for just the Optical PCB.
You can sell yours for like that, or $50, then you are very cool guy.
Will you be a cool person with me?
