When is the prototype coming out, because I wanted one. The original sanwa flash cost way too much and hard to find.
I assume this also applies to a MC Cthulhu board running PSX?
I would need three
I would buy at least two right away regardless of price.
I would buy one
any update?
I’d buy 3 al least.
- How much would you pay for a kit you had to solder yourself? - $25 if they had good reviews.
- How much for a ready-to-use already soldered piece? - $30
- How much for a kit if it did not have the DC-DC converter? - $25
- How much for a ready-to-use piece without the DC-DC converter? $35
- How many of each would you expect to buy? 1 to start with, an another 1 if I enjoyed it.
For the love of sweet jesus, can we please get some knock-off flash sticks into production?
- How much would you pay for a kit you had to solder yourself? Probably wouldn’t buy one since I can’t do this myself
- How much for a ready-to-use already soldered piece? up to $60 - $100 if it’s all inclusive and ready to go basically. Considering a used ASCII optical is $80+…
- How much for a kit if it did not have the DC-DC converter? See Question 1
- How much for a ready-to-use piece without the DC-DC converter? See Question 1
- How many of each would you expect to buy? 2 (or more if I get more sticks).
i ld buy 1-2
and as far as price goes 40$ for the kit and 55$ for the complete thing…
i hope you can make it happen toodles.
First housing design is in, and the order of 4 prototypes is scheduled to be done on Wednesday. After that, testing, adjustment, talking with people who know how the design should be tweaked for injection molding, another batch of prototypes, and then maybe looking at the mold.
<3 I excited to see the prototypes.
Awesome Toodles. If anyone can pull this off it would be you.
So this is finally happening? I’d buy 4.
Nice work toodles!
I just paid $110 for ascii…
At least I got an optical for now.
Just goes to show that people are willing to pay decent money for these.
Well either way still look forward to buying 2 of these if you ever get them done.
Hey Toodles, any way these would work with a Sony DS3 pcb? I would love to drop these in my wireless TE sticks.
Toodles does it for great justice!!! looing forward to giving you money for the optical goods
I might be interested in getting one of these things to play with… $45-$60 for a kit sounds about right.
I have a question or two, though…
Would the Flash replacement still work the stock stick PCBs (Mad Catz, Hori) and the MC Cthulu?
How much extra space is the mechanism and associated drivers going to take inside the joystick casing, or it the same real estate as a standard JLF? I’m wondering if this could fit inside a DC Agetec case…
I take it an LS-32 couldn’t be adapted to Flash? I know this is a JLF product but I am putting this out since a significant number of us prefer the LS-32. My guess is that it’s a no-go because of the gate-door situation on the LS-32. Completely different beast from the JLF microswitches.
