It would be great to have every organizer in Texas/Southwest in on this. This is why I try to go to as many tournament as possible beside the exp, competition, and cash rewards/prizes. Put Killeen down on the list.

No, I haven’t heard anything from anyone regarding Jan 8. Isn’t suppose to be the MegaBowl of tourneys for them or something?
I’m not sure but SA tournaments usually get good turn outs. For now I’m gonna delete the Olive Green update. It’s there in the January area anyway.

To be honest, things haven’t been looking good since Pat O Brien’s basically told us “we’re going to hold out for a wedding on that date since they pay more then you.”
So basically, we could reserve it within 2 weeks of the date, but that is very risky. Without a suitable venue for 100+ people, I can’t go through with it. Revolucion simply would have not worked if I used a smaller venue. Pat O Brien’s was the same space for a much lower price. I don’t want to use San Pedro Village again because of the insanely high cost of the place. It’s not fun to sweat bullets worrying you’ll be out several hundred bucks on a venue.
I’m currently hoping to use a clubhouse near my house, but if I can’t settle anything by the time Absolute Battle has come and gone, then I am officially canceling the January 8th tournament. I’m sorry if anyone gets upset about it, but not having Pat O’s really hurt us.
That sucks man. Hope everything works out.

MC Clusky: We were in the same position. We didn’t have any real cash offering sponsors to help with our desired venue and were stressing about it. You still got time though. I say push back 2 months at least. It sucks, but hey you’ll have your venue.
It was close to use having to push back our date as well until we got an alternate venue.

This is in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, the closest border is Eagle Pass, Tx if I’m correct, from there is about 6hrs… but from the mexican side, parting from Reynosa is about just ~7ish hrs… so if anyone is interested of have any questions feel free to answer, this is a kind of EVO event that is trying to get done on a yearly biasis(sp?) a lot of people from central and southern mexico has comfirmed to come so this is likely going to be a big one.
