Haunts is a fraud as usual, but I guess I’m just as bad. I get top 25 at EVO then go 2-2 at a local in Marvel.

But I’m getting those jitters in tournaments, can’t land anything. I do have to say that Haunts was doing really good. He was landing combos when it was on the line and beating regulars. It wasn’t just him doing DPs and hitting us, which did happen I admit, but that he was giving a lot of pressure and capitalizing on hits he did get. Next two weeks, I expect him to be even more powerful.
From the data and also from what he was talking about, I feel Kyo is the one to worry about in terms of improvement. Not enough combo material to utilize the meter. A really simple string is c.C, df+D(1), qcf+K, hcb+K. Pretty sure that works outside of the corner, but a **LOT **of his combos are great in the corner. That’s a good one because C does a lot of damage and it cancels into df+D easy. You can extend that a little more and do some more damage with rdp+B and then do hcb+K. So that’s, from Kai, weak Oboruguma for the one hit pop up, into Kotokskio (his command grab). You could also do his DM, Orochinagi, after the rdp for a lot of damage. Kyo’s a really good character, but I feel like my execution’s just not there to do all of those different chains.
Lols Reiki. We need Haunts to get good so he’ll keep streaming XIII, shhhhh. All joking aside, we love cheering for the underdog and Haunt’s measurable improvements are fun to watch.
As for Kyo, you can only get the qcf+K to combo off a df.D [1hit] in the corner, mid screen it will not connect unless the qcf K is an Ex.

Yea, that was really great! Awesome work there, Haunts. New Raiden players and some mid-to-high level players kinda turtle with him while charging dropkick. You can bait a dropkick, but most of the time, the best thing to do is roll because it’s a pretty nice anti-air and it guard crushes. First 16 seconds of the match, you want to crack them open with overheads and constant pressure. You can mix it up a little with hops and super jumps if they keep throwing spit.
Either way it goes, it’s a hard match up because he’s really good. Keep at it and you’ll win!
