Before the attacks get parried, it looks like the character parrying goes into a stance(there’s a flash of light before the attack connects). My guess is you go into a mode where you have to correctly block the next string to get improved attack effects. The clash reminds me of Injustice wager.
I wouldnt get too ahead of myself on that. Still a love of gimmicks in Japanese fighting games. So the only question is what gimmicks we’ll be subjected to and whether those gimmicks improve play or just make it super stressful.
reading comments from 8wayrun moderators who spoke with Daishi back then, and the gist is that there’s more they wanted to do with respect to moves and characters in SC5 - Zasalamel was found in the disc data, but after the earthquake hit Japan, those plans were shaken up.
Tekken 7’s producer Motohiro Okubo is also producing this game. Between the other SRK writers, we’re wondering if this means those things we saw in the trailer are Rage Art/Rage Drive type things.
Make the frame data god tier!
Make SS guard or a variation of it!
GIVE ME BACK MY GOD DAMN TAKI!
Give me non-clone Kilik!
Give me Setsuka!
Leave Lady Hilde alone. Do not replace her with some young, weird-ass kids!
Do not replace any more likable or iconic characters with any weird-ass kids!
Provide an entertaining series of offline content as done in SC2 (or anything before SCV).
Netcode needs to be god tier!
Tournament-only mode!
Big fat-ass selection of customizations!
No, it probably is that, which means I’m out because I didnt much care for it in T7 either despite it being an all around GOOD fighting game. But the other half of the equation is that it’s a trailer and we won’t know more until next spring at the earliest. So it could still be just a trailer trick with gameplay to make it look exciting. But yeah, if it is another super cutscene BS cinema gimmick then I want no part of it and just stick to SC2.
