Soulcalibur II HD Online

Oh well then my mistake.

One other thing to consider is the monitor you’re playing on. An LCD HDTV will always have a bit more delay than a CRT.

ROFLMFAO, you guys still playing this shitty port?

The dream is dead folks. It’s time to play tekken tag 2. <3

there will never be another decent calibur game made…ever again.

I been playing Soul Calibur 4 all damn day. I feel like I’m reunited with a long lost friend.

I’ll get to 5 eventually sometimes this week since its the recent one BUT, I’m having so much fun on this.

And there are actually people still playing this online.

I play on a CRT.

So can we confirm that there is offline delay?

How’s the online on the 360 version?

After seeing alot more of SC2HD, it’s a fine port, especially if you compare it to the other fighting game ports and HD remakes that are out there.

This game would have been fine at $15, but for $20, at least give me a record function or some lobbies, or some options that weren’t in the original game. I’ll give the game another look when they patch it.

Go to NEC if you really want to play some SC4.

I can’t confirm offline latency with proper testing. It was just by feel. I would argue, if there is a little offline latency, it’s fairly negligible with this particular fg.

However, the online is worthless (no exaggeration necessary), and that was the entire point of my purchase (SC2 has always been a nice-looking game, and it’s graphics have dated well compared to SC1). You cannot even come close to playing matches the way you would offline. In some other fighters, certain specific tactics don’t work as well online. But I’m talking the entire way the game is played at anything at or above a competent level. The input delay is so bad during even the best connections that everyone naturally resorts to creating as much space between themselves and their opponents as possible. When in close, AA and BB mashing is all you’re going to experience because it’s the best strat in this terrible online environment. Even when at frame advantage I was still being interrupted by attacks when I pressed my attack buttons at the normal times I would offline. You have to press everything earlier than can be humanly anticipated. Fakes and varying your attack rhythm is pointless. I could flowchart a keep away game with Ivy and fall asleep executing it online.

I guess if you don’t still have your PS2/Xbox/Gamecube/Arcade version of the game or joystick handy, than go ahead and get this release. That’s really the only logical reason I can think of for buying this. I feel pretty ripped off at this point. Although it won’t make any difference, I’m going to take a minute to send a complaint email to Namco

I sent a direct tweet to Namco in terms of asking for my money back, they have yet to respond. =(

Don’t worry, guys.

Next patch will be patching in Link from Zelda and improving the netcode.

If you bitch enough, it will happen, just like Tekken 6’s netcode patch.

If they actually do respond, I’d love to know what they say.

Did you guys know OG Soul Calibur is on android?
and its a great port. imo.
updated graphics and controls smooth as silk.

That’s quite the boast, I don’t expect them to have paid for link’s license nor do I expect Nintendo to greenlight link appearing on 360/ps3

Anyone try the 360 version? I just downloaded the demo and realized that there is no input lag offline, so now I’m wondering how the online is.

Do it. Tell us if they reply.

So, SoCal Regionals 2014 is going to have both SC2HD and SCV !

who is participating?

If Zi make it I’m probably entering V

My goal is to take the tournament with Lizardman, nobody knows how to fight the character and I don’t know his movelist as it isn’t in the game. A win-win, 100% fraudulence.

IIRC, he’s like a cross between Sophitia and Cassandra.
