I made it to winners final of my pool with Rose. Then I had to play Big Marcus’ Bison. And then a Yun. Tough. Still had a good time though.

Does anyone else sometimes feel like you’re just going from one bad match up after another?

The other day I pretty much only played Dhalsim, Zangief, Honda, Blanka, Vega (I’m very free against those two) and Bison players. It was so depressing.

The only actual “bad matchup” out of those though is Bison and sim.

Sim is not bad; Bison is almost even, and the only “bad matchup” out of those is Vega.

I don’t see the vega match as a bad one. Not as bad as sim and bison.

Vega is definitely harder than Sim; but more so on the even range when it comes to the comparison with Bison.

Vega is hard; he out pokes you from every range and he has a nasty anti-fireball game and his karagrab range is no laughing matter.

You have to fight for your knockdown; not to mention his air priority is outstanding.

I just don’t see it as a bad matchup. Vega’s not going to outpoke you if you’re not pushing buttons for him to punish your pokes. I wouldn’t even bother throwing out fireballs too much on Vega. I’ll definitely take all the karagrab throws if that’s the only damage he’s getting off me. If he’s in my face having to do grabs, he’s either already losing or just a bad vega to begin with.

Both of them are free on knockdown so if either of you aren’t blocking after a KDWN then that’s your fault. I’ve never personally had any problems with Vega doing raw jump ins nor Wall dives. Not with Focus, slide, and jump back HP there.
