A knockdown where they don’t quickstand is an unteched knockdown. Hard knockdowns are also called untechable knockdowns.

Untechable knockdowns are for safe jumps. Everyone should know the safe jump by now. Bthrow walk forward a tick or wait a tick and then jump Fierce or even jump forward. It works on ALL non 3 frame reversals.

I fought a good Yun for the first time online today and dear god that man does decent damage off of a target combo. I was able to jab punish dive kicks on reaction, but once I got knocked down it felt like I was in mix-up hell D: Also, am I the only one who doesn’t feel affected by the meter gain nerf overall in AE? It still feels like I can build it just fine.
Well it was very rare that I would rely solely on sparks for meter gain, to be honest I don’t notice it at all. I’m normally good at conserving meter anyway, I actually have to start using it more. I know it has been changed but I think my motto for Rose in ae is applicable here, it could be worse.
I almost never throw sparks because they suuuuck.
better get used to it as it can be used as great bait to catch someone with u1

Sparks are so big and do so much damage, but yep.
I love when someone sits at the other end of the screen and the jump a lp spark and then eat a hp spark, of vice versa. That’s makes me feel good inside. I think it’s a harder projectile to use but it’s much harder to deal with because of the wild variation in speeds. And the size of it helps too.
First real time using AE Rose, gotta say the nerfs are pretty significant. I forgot that she could no longer use super after firing a spark, got me doing random soul throws a bit, lol. Definitely have to play smarter with her now, I miss the buffed U2 and super.

It doesn’t work on: Ryu, Ken, Honda, Ibuki, Gen, Dan, Sakura, Viper, Dictator, DeeJay, Evil Ryu, Boxer
and for Yun, Sagat, Hakan, Yang, Blanka, Zangief, El Fuerte, T Hawk you can finish with any Spiral (mp/hp)

Yea ShinkuuR did well. the matchup against akuma now is pretty tuff now. Both ultras are so useless against him.
