I’m still debating it right now, but the thing is, I don’t know how safe the area is (I never went to a tournament down there before), and I don’t know what time I would be getting out. Considering the tournament is going to run a lot smoother now, I’m hoping that getting out before 10 pm, is a possibility. It’s an hour train ride from here (I can just take the G to 4th Ave, and transfer to the N). I have two days to make up my mind.
its a safe area. its way better than flushing thats for sure. if you don’t want to get home late then don’t leave late. also get there around 4:30 or 5 for casuals. i will be there tlll around 8.

You don’t have to worry about much, as I’ve been actually kind of busy the past few weekends as of lately. I’ve been going to CTF and weekend tournaments, so that pretty much sums up why. I’m hoping my Rose does well tomorrow for the Guard Crush Tournament. I definitely do not want to run into Blanka again, that’s for sure. I guess time will tell.
Since they’re nerfing Soul Satalite I’ve been using Illusion Spark a lot, and have been getting bodied with it, after my gimmicky set ups miss I just get F’ed over… 
Keep in mind I rarely played Vanilla, and just started playing in late July but how am I supposed to keep up with this pressure?
I’ve tried using U1 a bit more as well, and it’s not as easy to successfully catch an opponent. If you miss, you’re guaranteed to be punished. You’ll have to bait out your opponent. If you’re playing someone smart, it’s pretty likely that you won’t be able to land it at all. After using U2 for a couple of months now, I just feel a lot more comfortable with it. Even after it’s nerfed, I’m pretty sure that I’ll be using U2 more often regardless.
you still can combo into it off EX Spark FADC. Just expect scaled damage.
I usually watch the Guard Crush stream, and it seems relatively common for finals not to be played until 11 to midnight. However, assuming you think you’ll have exited before then, you’ll probably be done by 10pm.
I think you should give it a shot though. Guard Crush needs more Rose players than just Art. 
Yeah, I am deciding to go tomorrow. To be honest, I do feel really nervous, but who knows how well I might do? I’m sure that regardless, I’ll have a great time, and I know that if I continue to go to tournaments like these, I will ultimately improve my game. Maybe I’ll be playing on the streamed TV, if I’m lucky. I do agree that we do need more Rose players than Art there. I plan to give it my all tomorrow, and I’m sure it will put my Rose to the test.
Hi everybody! I’m thinking of playing Rose for a while but I’ve never really used her. My main is Bison right now and I’m looking for a non-charge character who’s relatively well-rounded. And not a shoto. Rose seems pretty good on paper: a fireball, an advancing attack, an anti-air special, big breasts, reflecting fireballs…
So I guess what I’m asking is, what are some things I should know about Rose that I can’t glean from the combos and matchups threads?

I have a question.
How viable was Rose’s Soul Piede in Vanilla? I’m looking at the frame data on SRK wiki, and it says that it was -1 on block, and +3 on hit.
In Super, it’s -5 on block, and -1 on hit. Was it really nerfed that much? I’ve tried to use it as a surprise poke/attack as of lately.
It’s still good. It’s not that bad of a nerf really as most can’t punish it from max range anyway.
I had the feeling that the range was worse in Super so I stopped using it. I liked it in Vanilla a lot, now it’s really rare.
