It looks slightly different, unless I missed the bang. I do like that long braid but I really want some generic long, straight, bang, curls etc etc because they were lacking in SCIV. If I have a dress up mode I want more than enough base items to dress my character up, I’m just skeptical because SC4 had some awesome items, with a majority of piece of shit items. Exhibit A:
Oh how cool. I’ve always wanted to make Jesus and fight with him in Soul Calibur.
I don’t really see the problem with the character creation per se. I mean, there’ll be likely a lot of recycled creation items, but they’ve said there’ll be different layers of armor, not to mention you’ve got stickers this time around to make clothing more unique.
With that said, I’m not really worried about character’s size affecting gameplay. SCIV had it right by making it a separate mode where clothing stats are effective.
First thing I’ll do with this game is making Villager A. JAPANESE!
No, Fei and the Twins represent the 3 types of Buddhahood

Because once you begin tier whoring with them, you have now reached enlightenment.
Nice, I’m glad that the CaS is just for aesthetics. I hated how in SC4, you had to mismatch pieces and make an ugly ass toon just to get Shave Damage A, etc.
Is it just me or does everyones movelist look extremely small? I mean it looks like the characters have 20-25 moves a piece.
I dont want to jump the gun, but for most of the videos to be just mashing buttons I havent really seen much. For the guy whos going to be talking to the team, try to ask them how many moves each character will have approx, because it looks like a lot of characters are lacking.
20 moves in Soul Calibur isn’t going to work no matter how you put it. Seeing as they got rid of just about every character who NEEDED their stances to enforce a real mixup (Mitsurugi, Ivy, Ralphael) its going to be a real bore watching AA, 2A, BB matches.
Soul Calibur has always been a game where everyone had a stance or some kind of string variations to work a real mixup. Theres no way you can have a short movelist and retain that property.
I’ll wait until release, but these characters just dont look finished. And for the ones who were just released, the look like they have even less moves.
But you don’t even know all the items in the game yet and besides that’s subjective anyway. If people were able to make a whole lot of CAS characters in SCIV which people seem to do more than play the game itself. I don’t see why SCV would go down in that aspect especially when the CAS mode is what they said they were improving.
