She’ll probably play as much like Taki as Taki ever has between two Soul Calibur games. Namco loves to fuck with movesets in this series.

I have to admit that the second picture looks a lot better than the first in the sense that it isn’t as nonsensical. Real quick, the fangs covering the guy’s eyes in the first picture flat out makes me call BS on it and the whole thing just looks a total mash of several concepts. The second one at least has a single theme to it, though it makes the guy look like a high-position general or something. I’m not up on the lore so I don’t know if that’s what they wanted.
And in the end, they went with a less stupid version of the first option. Ah poo.
I’m still holding out hope for a fully mature, sexy, and badass Taki. Not much hope since well, lol Japan. I will say that I don’t think the new blonde chick is the replacement or the permanent one at least since ain’t she a guest character? That’s what Joystiq said anyway.

Seeing a middle-aged woman (not somebody who looks youthful, I mean all the way mature and not ‘sexy’) slice people up would be quite boss. SC has a ton of material to work from, hopefully they don’t kick every single adult female off of the franchise (even though they will, barring some age-defying magic nonsense)
According to Odashima (check his Twitter) she’s a disciple of Taki. The chance of her being a guest character is very very slim if you ask me, far more likely that she’s Takis replacement, especially after what Odashima said prior when asked if Taki would be in SC5.
Ivy will be the only older chick, and she’ll look excatly the same because of some stupid fountain of youth backstory crap, she’ll dress sluttier than ever, and have hot-air balloon sized tits.

Any news about Hildegard? Irregardless of that combo in SC4(which I never stayed around long enough to personally witness at a competitive level) I really liked her back story.

im sure the ship has sailed on this question long ago, but is it too late to hope that SC5 plays just as fast as 2? thats the game that really opened up in 3D fighting ad arcades for me and so yeah, really disappointed with the new one cause it felt like the prettier it got, the slower it got. i guess i just miss the flash 10 second talim victories (even if she was stupid back then).
Speaking of SC2, all I want is for what’s her name to have Cassie’s A,B,B from SC2.
