Japanese drill when you’re on fire: stop, drop and ukemi.

Basically, just a roll (standard in 3d fighters) when you’re knocked down to avoid attacks and/or set up better positioning upon standing.

I am okay with him being in some underwear. or swimming trunks as long as I have the moveset

Is there any worthy dlc announced? idk about those custom parts, but there should be new characters or something

Hmm I hope the game can get more on the competitive side of things. I know you guys working on it. I try my best to and pick up the game actually pretty soon.

But even Tekken was more popular but that probably has changed now. It is a shame being a fan of 3-D fighters is odd to the public eye of fighting games.

WTF you play SCV competitively? SCIV was a success on the casual basis(fanservice and CAS) but competitively not so well. Game was good enough competitively besides Hilde but it just lacked the support and fell off.

Hope SCV can stay along the train later and not get completely drowned by say UMvC3.

Slowly but surely, my character creation in SC5 will look like Wesker.
Only problem is that I don’t know how his voice sounds like to make it in character creations. Anyone give me some advice on how to make it happen?

Also, Natsu is pretty solid, but she’s not stupid tough if you know how to minimize the damage she can do to you and if you know how to negate her most damaging Possession mix-up options. Also punish every punishable thing.

I have a question for SC vets did Guard Crush always carry over to other rounds? This seems like a really dumb mechanic to have. Nothing wrong with per round GC, but carrying over against the mashers online is retarded.

yeah guard crush carried over in 4 too for critical finishes

i think when things are set and done things arent looking good for asteroths
just guard nulifies alot of the purposes of his ranged game
eventually guard crush and frustrate the opponent with massive frame advantage and dictate close range till he got grabs off

multi hit strings with him are pointless now

Guide that good? I dont usually buy guides but maybe I pick it up on my way of picking up the game.

This so much. The guide is stellar has helped me SO much in the matchup against Natsu. It also helps that I use Pyrrha.

Ugh pyrrah, hate that bitch. She allows you to play press button rushdown without much punishment in most cases. Which im glad that pat has justice drive for. I totally play defensive a punish style to thwart her. Also i hate how i have to factor in an obligatory guard break situation in every match simply because she can rundown so well.

I’m beginning to develop a love/hate relationship with this game. Lose to a beastly Raphael, whatevers no biggie it was awesome to watch. Get outmashed by Natsu, god dammit. Also had some Xiba player tell me I suck on his mic, yeah no shit what’s it to you. I’m getting better at least, but I’m still not quite decided on who I should play.

this game does soul calibur 2 type damage (natsu and lexia lmfao)
but the problem is that in soul calibur 2 there were no combos no extensive tech traps
it was just poke and dash
kinda irritated that they didnt factor that in

Tip for Xiba: He’s slow up at CQC so fast pokes will beat most of his stuff. Also his attacks are mostly mind games. Literally just stand there and block his shit. It’s all mid anyway except for the low multi-poke (block after first hit cause your not in stun). The rising hurricane kick (which he can only do after a ukemi) and the low rod sweep/ low slow rod jab. The stuff I mentioned was his main tools. Eventually you’ll memorize the start up animations.

In other words, Going against Xiba is basically a patience match. If you keep blocking/inching foward (oh and remember that you will most likely guard break against Xiba) the other dude will eventually get frustrated and come rushing to you. This is what you want him to do.

DON’T try to sidestep most of Xiba’s stuff because it’s good against 8 way run tactics. You want full head-on blocking. Now if you’re good at GI’s then you can start the offensive after you gain some meter. Inch towards Xiba and keep GI-ing his moves. until you get in close range then punish.

Yea fuck paying for characters already on a disc, but unlocking characters in this era is kinda eh. And especially stupid with this game since they essentially gave us an “arcade port”. Stripped to the core. The whole meat of this game, besides dudes that character create, IS versus mode. So characters should’ve already been there. Game has you unlocking characters and stages to give an illusion of more content. But it just sucks because there’s not enough in the game to warrant doing anything except jumping straight into versus mode, or bringing game somewhere and people cant use characters because they’re not on the setup.

Kinda gay though that Dampierre is a pre-order bonus but NOT from Gamestop. Really pissed that when I asked them about it they told me they’d decided to make the character available to be unlocked normally in game and was no longer a pre-order bonus. Those lying shits.
