My mistake. I just remember people complaining about “Taki’s not in this game?! F### this I ain’t buying.” Same with Setsuka, who was one of my favs. Sorry I didn’t consider the full roster (not sarcastic), but it does seem smaller in number.
Also, I’ve only played it for an hour and a half thus far, lol.
Anybody here copped the guide? The way it’s presented, the material used for the paper, the massive size of it and most importantly, the sheer amount of information in it makes it worth the price.
Lucky you. I got an Algol player who was rank A2 and fucking kicked my ass repeatedly. I managed to squeeze out a win after about 10 tries, but yeah, it sucked.
I love this game. Super Moves are handled well. EX attacks are handled brilliantly (wish there was more, though). Love the new Ring Out quotes. CaS is the best it’s ever been. The relationship between hori, verti, and 8wr is made relevant again.
Not a fan of grinding and I wish I could just buy an unlock key for all the CaS parts and characters. Three mimic characters is almost trolling, but I’m over it.
Hope more move-sets come as DLC, and perhaps more Tekken move-sets as well. Hell, brand new move-sets for that matter.
I’m wondering about that myself. In SCIV I used to use his :db:K, but that got changed to his :df::df:K, which you can really pull out as quickly anymore iirc…
I just saw a Voldo CaS with a giant rainbow erection. There’s definitely too much customization in this game.
The lobbies in this game are awesome. I like sitting in the lobby and watching matches about as much as actually playing. I’ll have to see if I can get any friends into this game.
I played a little bit of Natsu today. I like her fighting style and I love her attitude. Right now I have Aeon, Nightmare, Viola, and Natsu on my lists of potential mains. I havent even played everyone yet, or beat the story. I wont have any time to really play until this weekend
The story was EXTREMELY well done for a fighting game. Beautifully rendered cutscenes as well.
Only thing though is that Pat and Pyrrah seem closer than just brother and sister and thats a bit weird. But whatev it’s 16th century so that stuff is A-OK :P.
Anyway I personally can’t wait for the DLC for this game. Downloadable styles, another story that involves different characters, and the ability to have Xiba scream FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! at the title screen would be insta-buys for me
So…is the game good? Since the day 1 hype is over I figured now is the time to ask. Also is there no more endings for every character for beating arcade mode or whatever? I always liked that. I might pick the game up and play Natsu/Tira. I heard Natsu is actually pretty good which is refreshing. I was planning on playing her (love Ibuki, I almost always play the ninja girl if possible) and was afraid she’d suck. And I hear Tira is actually usable this time.
The game is good, netcode is quite possibly the best netcode of any fighter out right now. People say Natsu is possibly the best in the game, and Tira isn’t too bad.
If you’re coming from 2D fighters then you may struggle quite a bit.
Natsu is good, she just doesn’t have Patroklos’ “Oh my god let me just counter your every attack with an attack that takes out a quarter of your life” easy mode button.
Well I’ve played the other soul calibur games and a few tekken games. I know the annotation too for stuff because I did try to get into Soulcalibur 4 a few times but the characters I liked the most were ass and I play games for the characters.
