Not sure if this was posted, but Got-Next has video footage of the making of the game and some concept art. It’s looking very impressive. Here’s hoping PS2 will step up and offer 1080i pscan support and digital audio out.

That’s bugged that it won’t show up in arcades, but I don’t live in Arcade Wonderland (Tokyo) anymore so I wouldn’t have had the chance to play it anyway. I like the look of the game (mixing the looks of SE SC1 and SC2) and I can’t help but get hyped about a complex fighter like Soul Calibur allowing custom characters.
I’ll definitely buy a PS2 for SC3, unless they make a PSP version or something.

This is the best example of what I’ve been noticing for a few months now. Magazines are getting info out faster then websites, or at the same time a new issue comes out is when the websites put that info up. I don’t know if I should be happy or sad about this, because I was planning on cutting off the subscriptions I had for certain mags.
Well I was wrong but whateverfuckever, let us hope they don’t fuck it up.
My fear about the new characters is that they will play like modified versions of previous ones. Ring girl looks and sounds too much like Talim, although that big ass ring makes me wonder how they are going to make her at all usable.
But Zasalamel does look the best out of the three. Umbrella chick seems out place to me, although if they are just modifify existing characters she will probably play like Mitsurugi.
Yeah I agree that Setsuka looks a lil odd amongst the three. She didn’t really stick out as much to me and I think it has to do with how in every sc game everyone is decked out in so much fancy clothing and armor. She just looks…simple. I dunno, that’s just my take on it.
Well her umbrella/hidden sword weapon isn’t all that weird, it’s not new to fighting games either. Shizumaru of Samurai Shodown fame has had that weapon for years now.
I know for stone fact that I’m a-gonna play Setsuko. She’s the shizzle.

From mere seconds you get a glimpse of how tricky things will get with that ring.

I think that her “normal” look is a change of pace for Soul Calibur since every character in the game looks a bit intimidating, she seems a bit mysterious.
Now you know . … after SC2 . .making clones would be a STEP BACKWARDS.
And even so. .Mitsu has a sword w/ sheath(sp) Setsuka has an umbrella with a blade hidden, I dont see at all how they could even have similar stances, much less movesets.
I second that. The “Resolute Avenger” is definately on my “to play” list.

According to what’s been said of the story, Seigfried and Nightmare are now two seperate beings. Seigfried apparently had ditched Soul Edge, but something resurrected a Nightmare body for the sword, which is now apparently fused with Soul Calibur.
Don’t take my word for it though, that’s just what’s been talked about so far.

The fusion of the 2 sworsd is called “Soul Embrace”. I can’t wait for this game.
