Yo SRK! You guys are godlike for doing this, I hope that the people who get the code really take it seriously and give some good feedback.
I’ve been dying to give this game a go, and I’ll go head first into this game and make sure everyone knows whats up!
My nigga Sly Cooper! Been bamf since I was in elementary school!
Can’t wait bust Mike Ross’s chops on PSN.
Let this game do well, please. I want more characters, Lara Croft, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot. Yet as it stands, coughRaidencough has already sold me on this game.
Playstation Allstars is what the PS3 needs!
and all out Battle Royal with Sony Playstation Characters from the past & present
I cant wait to get my hands on all the characters, remembering what they were & why they were picked for this game
Like another user here said looking back at all the characters you grew up with and what defined Sony Playstation hardware Iconic Characters today!
Easily my favorite characters are going to be the Sony Playstation 1 Charaters, I’m still hopefull for Tiny Tank! But I will respect whatever Sony puts in this game!
A beat em up! Haven’t had that since my Melee Community days, could be another reason why I will pick this up!
Good on ya Sony & Shoryuken for doing this!
I’m looking forward to what other characters they are going to put in the game and I like how the game looks so far.
What I’m looking forward to the game the most in SPAS: BR is the ability to play a fighting game with some of my favorite Playstation characters of all time. I remember playing Smash Bros. - thinking how cool would it be if I could play this game with Sony characters. Well now that chance has finally come and it would be great if I could get to experience it a little be earlier than Oct. 23.
So far from looking at the game it looks visually beautiful - and gameplay looks really good (although I would love to test that myself) - it looks like it plays really well. Also, what I love about the game so far is the characters super moves. I think that many of them are really cool and I can’t wait to see what the new characters supers will be.
My reasons for being excited for Sony Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale:
-
Multi-Player format: 4 players duking it out - perfect for casual get-togethers, yet hype enough to dig into (and watch; very important!) competitively
-
Nostalgia and Creativity: traditionally non-fighting characters adapted to a fighting game (not to mention their stages, sounds and art design)
-
Potential: The FG scene is currently a player’s market (even more so by the end of this year), and I’m sure Sony knows too. Question is, what are they offering that sets them apart, yet retains the interest of the current scene? I’m very curious to see how Sony will ultimately answer these questions, and am pleased to see community members such as Ed Ma, Clockw0rk, and Seth Killian part of the team to tackle these challenges.
Yo I’m excited for PlayStation all stars for the interesting strategies and such that people are gonna find out with the game. I also hope smash players stop being on Nintendo’s dick soo much and give this game a shot so that both communities can integrate again and not be separate cause Sakurai don’t give a fuck about competitive smash but ironically enough Nintendo cares about competitive Pokemon, come one now! As a ex smash player I hope this game is very successful.
What are you looking forward to most in SPAS: BR?
I’m looking forward to playing SPAS: BR online. I think Sony did a great job with the layout of online play with Mod Nation Racers and Little Big Planet and I’m looking forward to seeing this games online play. I’m also looking forward to the different game modes Sony brings to the table!
So far I really love the character choices in this game. I’m loving Heihachi and Big Daddy! I really like how Sony included 3rd party characters!
back in the day, me and a friend of mine used to argue over who was better. jak and daxter (me) or rachet and clank (friend). and I always told him, “damn, I just wish there was a super smash type game for sony so we can finally settle this argument!”
and then superbot came, and saved the day!!! now I can’t wait to play as jak and finally show my friend who’s BOSS!!
thank sony for letting playstation allstars happen! thank you!
I’m looking forward to being able to do all sorts of stuff to Fat Princess. First, sneak into her room with Sly Cooper, then give her a shocker with Cole, fist her with Heihachi, stick something in her with Kratos and finally drill her with Big Daddy.
So far I love the Supers and the levels. Those are two things that really had a lot of thought put into them.
I got to play the game at EVO and the thing is even though I didn’t know any of the folks next to me I still had good fun because we all enjoyed the crazy stuff going on and popping off about seeing the supers and stuff.
I’m mostly interested because it seemed like a really fun game to play and the code I played at EVO seemed really fun - although I have to admit I can’t say wether it’ll get old or not. I simply haven’t had the chance to try out more (Insert sly wink.)
Oh and the news that supposedly Sir Daniel Fortesque is in there, I would give you guys ALL OF MY MONEY if this is confirmed.
Cheers!
Well as a person who grew up with sony and nintendo i can say that this game looks to me to have the potential of being as addicting super smash bros. but with a little more competitive edge. Even if it isn’t i think it’s a great idea for sony to have there own mascot fighter. Sly cooper was my favorite game as kid i loved going around getting all the clue bottles so i could get a new ability. I remember a very distinct one that let you make enemies attack each other they gave me some good laughs. The uncharted series is one of my favorites too always felt like i was watching a movie. Infamous was a great title too the gritty dark atmosphere was done really well. I also like the fact that they have a mix of old and new sony characters so they all have the chance for some recognition. The fact that one of my idols Seth Killian is in on this game lets me know that this is definitely going to be something special and i really can’t wait to get my hands on it.
I also have to say the inclusion of a combo system in this type of game intrigues me simply because it’s never been done before and i always wondered how super smash bros. would play if a combo system was implemented but it would be even better in a completely different title. I want to see how crazy the combos can get and test out the versatility of each character and the tricks that would be most viable. I love fighting games especially arena ones like this and i believe the super move to get points is a wonderful innovation that definitely makes this game unique. This and The last of us were on my list for most anticipated games of e3 and i made sure to get every morsel of info i could about this game. As a diehard sony fan i would love the opportunity to play the beta of this game and provide my insight towards making better beyond what it already is.
Im looking forward to having some fun with the characters I grew up playing with. What I love most about the game is the visuals of the characters and the concept of knocking out your opponents. It shows the dedication of the developers to try something unique and suave.
IVE HOPED FOR THIS GAME EVER SINCE I FIRST PLAYED SSBM I DREAMED OF HAVING CRASH BEAT UP SLY OR RATCHET USING THE RYNO ON KRATOS THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF MY MOST ANTICIPATED GAMES OF THE YEAR ONLY THING THAT WILL MAKE IT PERFECT TO ME IS IF THEY PUT CRASH BANDICOOT IN THE GAME
GAME…LOOKS…FANTASTIC! I have to ride to the closest wall mart in my best Transformer pjs riding a rhino with a rocket strapped to his back and a monkey companion as a head massager all while i belly flop my way just to get there 1st! I then will proceed to kick down every single door I see until I find the entrance to my destiny as the greates player known to man! Knowing i’m not the only one wanting this game I will destroy my opponents with up up down over square combo that unleashes a barrage carrots and stars taking down the ones who haven’t preorder only to face the top gruelsome looking characters there! I will destroy them with precise aim and dedication, then proceed for my game. I will be thrown and strangle with no remorse until my toro fanboy spirit rages inside me and destroys the rest of the competition. I will then lawfully hand in my 100 dollars for the bundle and 200 more just because I love this GAME!
Im looking forward to see how sony puts its own unique spin on this title. They have a great opportunity to create a new fighting game series, but i hope it is not a mere just a smash bros translation. Im interested to see how they create a both a fun yet complex fighting game that all levels of the community can embrace.
I may have not grown up with Playstation that much, but I still love it. They have made iconic characters that many have grown up with, such as Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. They still make impressive games with even more lovable characters. There’s not one person that doesn’t know who Nathan Drake and Sackboy are. I always loved those games, and hoped that they would someday clash against each other like this. This is basically the game of the decade. They’ve made each character unique, some thing that Smash Bros is having a little trouble with. There’s nothing more that I want more than watching Fat Princess meet Sackboy and Spike.
Playstation is my favorite system among most of the other ones especially because I played the crap out of it as a kid. Games such as Resident Evil, Nightmare Creatures, Twisted metal, Tomba and much more brought me to this system. I like how its inspired by Smash bros, a very fun party game but not entirely the same exact style. The killing of characters with supers seems cool and it looks to be a good game to play with all your friends. I’m a fan of the roster so far and look forward to all the other amazing picks in the future. Also, this brought me to make an account on SRK to keep active and find some members to play with to get better in this as well as other games.
Its wonderful to see a lot of our favorite game characters being pit against each other and some of our “What if these characters met,” kinda thing. The cast is looking great so far and I can’t wait to see who else makes the cut. I look forward to this games release and plan to have a lot of fun with it. If nintendo did it and made it work for em, I’m for certain Sony can do it and give even more.
The one thing I’m looking forward to in SPASE: BAR is the incredible roster this game could and will have. I absolutely cannot wait to play as Sir Dan Fortesque. A champion selection in my honest opinion
One thing I absolutely love about the game so far is that you have to finish opponents off in style, knocking people off stages is fun but nothing gets people more salty than a level 3 super. And I love salt.
