her ability to do damage isn’t impressive, as DHCs balance that out, easily. All she does is have less hp than a duo team, no truly safe options, and no way to stop my rush down except the super unsafe napalm pillar.
I can agree that Parasoul does not have that much damage output compared to the rest of the cast. By the time sniper shot comes out, it most likely has been scaled to death. Also her better combos atm are iffy at best. She benefits most from being a meter builder/point supported by a good assist.

Solo Filia apparently won a tournament before the game came out and her j.HP hit box supposedly had to get nerfed due to but…considering the amount of people that were probably also running size 1 or 2 teams we got a while to go before it all pans out.
Solo double is terrible. If any characters could be solo, it’d be Para or Filia. No one else has the options. Even then, both of those characters alone are abysmal.

My team is far from invincible. I play Val/Fil(hairballH). I have won a few events, but I do have an insanely hard time against peacock teams.
TBH I think solo is awesome and exactly because I don’t need to focus on team synergy I find solo technology that allows me to get all the mixups and damage I need with no assists. The pushblock in this game is really weak compared to say MVC3 and you can plan your offense in a way that won’t be affected by it.
It doesn’t matter. Because the damage you do midscreen right now isn’t enough to kill a character. You need at the minimum four mixups to kill a duo team (that’s the MINIMUM) with a solo character, You’re also missing out on health regen, and mixups.
you can’t possibly tell me that you think a solo character mirror, but with one side having an assist is going to EVER give the solo an advantage. And since matchups in this game are heavily based on style of play, it’s important to take a look at the character weaknesses.
Peacock can’t get people off of her. Double assist, and cere’s anti air grab.
Parasoul can’t close distance. Double assist/shadow of impending doom.
Valentine’s hitboxes are extremely obvious. Double assist / hairball / cerecopter
The technology for Solo teams is strictly damage and set ups. The damage may be higher, but the setups get doubly weak when you don’t have a way to keep your strings safe on block.
Agreed. I think it’s too early in this game to be shooing anything. I mean, yes some stuff is going to feel weak at first, but I feel as the game grows, solos are going to be able to easily ToD lesser characters.
Also, this is a personal thing, but playing a trio is hard for me because it’s really awkward with the way that I play on stick to push the assist 1 buttons.
Solos = Swag
Team = No Swag.
It’s obvious which one you should choose.
Solos = Less boobs
Team = More boobs
