Solo vs Duo vs Trio - (Wo)Man Teams - Ratio Discussion

Solos = Quality Boobs
Teams = Quantity Boobs

Quality > Quantity

:slight_smile:

Alright let’s make a small board of boobs of quality for every 8 characters:
Double = Tager rank (I have no idea, multiboobs rank?)
Peacock = 0
Painwheel = 1
Fortune = 2
Filia = 3
Cerebella = [S]99999999[/S] 4
Parasoul = 5
Valentine = 6
If you indeed take Peacock, Painwheel and Fortune in the same team while you have Cerebella solo, certainly Cerebella is better. But there are more ways of having more quality boobs over 6 with teams than solos. Just Filia+Cerebella already makes a 7 ranked quality boobs. I’ll take my team as an exemple now:
3+4+5=12 I have twice the quality boobs of a solo Valentine.
See? It’s easy!
Teams are clearly superior in term of boobiness.

As opposed to the guy who thinks 1>2. Yeah, I’m CLEARLY the person who need to take a look at himself.

And yes, I’m fairly certain that Peacock has a hard time in the corner, and I know that Parasoul has a hard time closing distance. If you can’t fucking see these things within a few hours of playing, you have little excuse to why you waste your time playing fighting games.

In reality guys, Solo teams will suck.
But winning with a solo character is hands down more impressive than winning with a team.

Juggling 10 chainsaws is more impressive than juggling 3 sticks. Doesn’t mean it’s not more difficult, for the same pay off. Still juggling.

So you’re saying solos will be low tier heroes?

Spoiler

We really don’t know where solos truly stand at this point though.

ive been having a few issues with accidentally plinking when i call assists and that usually ends up with me getting happy birthday’d. i’m considering using the extra to buttons on the end for dedicated assist buttons, but that would take a bit of getting used to.

Meh, I wrote this up earlier then my phone ate it

As I said earlier Skullgirls made a lot of great modifications to features in other games and I think what the single character option will be in the end is the missing piecefrom MVC2. In MVC2 there was always discussion of who had the best ā€œXā€ or who had the best ā€œYā€, but you couldn’t really test those assumptions out with solo characters because the game ALWAYS had to be played in a team format (unless two players agreed to each let the other kill two characters for free so they could solo it out). There was also a separate tier list for individual characters in that game, which was almost useless in a practical sense, again because the game always had to be played in 3 member teams.
Even if one character ā€œteamsā€ turn out not to be tournament viable the option to now have one on one fights is a huge addition to what we have previously had.

All mirrors tell you is who knows the mirror match better.

If two people play at the same skill level, but one has an assist, there is a CLEAR ADVANTAGE.

Relative to week 1, this is completely untrue. You cannot honestly tell me you think winning ranked matches with solobella is hard… We can all use her and win (at least those of us who are decent and can close space properly).

Solo Cere is not a good character in the least bit. she’s incredibly easy to zone out, and loses hard body to jumping backwards. He has unreliable chip damage, too, so when she loses the lead (which will be more than quick against any good duo team) she has to put herself in terrible situations to remedy it. not a good look.

Also, most ranked matches before top 25 players is braindead. I’ve accrued somewhere around a dozen perfects. Please don’t use that as a relative measure of skill.

A lot of teams don’t have the means to keep bella out though. I know personally that’s something my team really struggles with. If you’re playing peacock or parasoul (if you’re a fucking troll and sit there and wait to counterpick) then yes, bella is free as fuck, but if not then you have a good chance to get hit once, which could mean death…

I play Val/Filia. I fought two separate (and well played) solo cere teams yesterday, and neither of them ever had val forced out in any fashion. She doesn’t have the means to hit people and convert, so long as people play the matchup correctly.

Also, waiting to counterpick isn’t a troll move. It’s a smart move. Shoutouts to the people able to lpay 4+ characters already.

Fixed a typo for the net healths.

The 2v2 were listed as their ā€œper characterā€ values in the ā€œtotal healthā€ columns.

Early look at Marvel vs. SF. What you guys think?

awesome set

The Valentine player is the same guy that played May in GG and Jill in Marvel 3.

I hate to admit it because i do love me some solo bella, but that shit aint winning a legit tournament anytime soon. Heck solo anything aint winning and if it do it’ll be some serious top tier one in a blue play imho.

I have a question. I’ve been using solo bella, so I don’t know, but have people been using Outakes? I just remembered they are in the game, and started using them in my combos. I’ve won every match I’ve used an outake in (Although it’s not that big a number). Teams seem really good, but in a 3v1, one of your characters goes down and that’s a third of your game. Lose another and your probably fucked, whereas that other guy has his entire strategy (1.70 dmg multiplier and 200% health) the entire match. If you’re playing Parasoul/Double/Peacock, and I snap in your Parasoul and kill her, you lose your napalm pillar. If I snap in Peacock and kill her, you lose your keepaway (Or the best part of it). Know what I mean? I probably don’t know what I’m talking about, but I just don’t ever remember seeing anyone use Outakes in the FNF or the handfull of tournament play I’ve seen. Are they bad, or overlooked?
