Hey guys. The first one was such a success that we should def start planning the next one from now. Things to consider are:

Date - July 11th is my nominated date.

Floor Plan - Similar to what we had, except hav chairs lined up against windows, and not a full “cubed” table setup like they usually have.

Possible Games - Now we definetly don’t want to overdue this. But I know we all play more than SF or more than FGs in general. So suggest something.

I nominate POWER STONE 2 on DC!!!

Directors - I dont think it will be hard to find directors, we just need to give specific roles to certain people, so we’re not at a loss for who to ask for what.

Venue/tourney Fee - Likely same system we had this past weekend.

Music - DJ Adverb enjoys these events very much. We can start request for songs, and also, get some COMMENTATORS FOR KEY MATCHES!!

July 11th is a pretty ridiculous turnover. The players are going to experience severe burnout both on games and on funds with the SF calandar being the way it is between July and August.

I’d kindly suggest Saturday August 22nd as the next Sogo date.

Sogo was such a great turn out . making another one so soon would just be a let down in attendance numbers , I agree with the burn out

yup… too soon. Also want to chill before Evo. Some time in August would be much better. Hell, I will go whenever it is, it would just be SOOOO much easier for me if it were a little later.

Whatever sounds good. I do agree myself it would be too soon. But its the only relative date open.

MAYBE the 25th. But thats after Evo and when I’ll likely be busy. Possibly August, 2nd or 3rd week, but I know of a couple other tourneys going on.

Either or, thats why its the planning thread :slight_smile:

lol even if the date wasn’t shot down in the first place, there is no way you are going to get to book a bar for UFC 100. GSP alone brings in every moron that hears a Canadian kid can throw a punch and they are gonna make twice the coin we could ever provide off regulars. Late August for the win.

Dinoz: please contact me in regards to the date as I am planning another large event in the August time frame that will have potential to pull entrants away from your event.

Whats wrong with doing it the evo weekend? Aren’t only like 4 people in the scene going to evo?

If theres a livestream for Evo, I want to watch. Specially the Evo finals for Tekken 6 and SF4.

I call being the technical support director LOL. And Just to be sure, I need to know the date confirmation 2-3 weeks in advance so my friend could tell his boss to get the day off.

Also, if we get over 100 people, we should do the entire tournament in the span of 2 days instead of one (unless EVERY STATION IS USED FOR SF4, WE ONLY HAD 3) And the Soul Calibur Station could’ve been used for SF4
