KoF98UM is only one quarter at FFA now.
For some reason Garou machine didnt have Kain or Grant unlocked, also a possibility that the machine will be set to 3/5 rounds instead of 2.
did ffa ever remove that mame cab with the awful control scheme?
They aren’t unlockable in the MVS version, they have to be selected with the code.
D, that mame cab was still in there last I checked.

Torn Apart I can see what you were talking about on the KOF 98 UM machine; the joystick is funky on the P1 side and just feels plain weird on the P2 side…could’nt get any of my moves out with Chris barely on the P2 side. I still got my play in though!
I know this game is not really an SNK game but I also played Melty Blood at FFA yesterday and I’m actually starting to get into that too; and the fact that my first time playing it on the arcade stick instead of a controller is good too! lol
Anyone know if that game is out on a system or is gonna come out on a system?
yea, the sticks for 98UM arent really that great. sometimes they work ok, then other times they wont work at all. It also feels like there is some input lag for both sides as well.

So does anyone play Garou at all at FFA now? or is it still pretty much dead? I’ll probably end up going this Fri or Sat night to see if any new peps are playing Garou or 98UM.
Garou is still pretty much dead. The only play it gets is from curious players. 98UM got a good amount of play last time i went.
I always end up going earlier during the day since the buses stop running early during the weekends unless I get a ride from someone…I’ll meet you guys one of these days! 
I haven’t really been playing MOTW lately; I was about to jump on it when I was there Saturday but Melty Blood caught my eye

Was anyone there at FFA Saturday (on the 5th)? I was there from 730 to like 920…it was packed in there for real! Starting to get better at the sticks especially on KOF 98 UM (although the left side sucks you have to literally yank the damn thing just to get something out lol). Had some good comp there too!
Finally got back from AX about an hour ago. I bought my copy of KOF 98: UM while I was there so I’m pretty stoked! :looney: Dave hopefully this friday we’ll get some 3rd strike sessions? 
You got it dude, I’ll free up the night for ya. BTW, my Billy is up to par in 2002 again and I am getting my timing and old depth back in that game, so we can get some good practice… I am also learning May Lee. Now that I got that cam, and I got a tripod stand for it, I can record our matches and we can review where we need improvement/where to eliminate risks. I think this is the best way to approach stuff as far as figuring out what we need work with as players. I highly recommend you take up alpha 2 at some point also. This game has improved my fundamentals way more then a lot of others.
Next time I have a major KOF meet, I’ll shoot for a day that works around schedules more. The last meeting hit on a awkward day, as a good friend had a party, my other friend was busy, most likely driving his sister around, and another was working, so this cut out other players from the mix.

Hey wheres a good place to get a camera stand by the way? I have a regular digital camera (12 mp) and I’m tired of stacking boxes up to record matches lol
