Whichever saturdays there is a ranbat.
We were actually hoping to have one tournament hosted in the Fall (Nov). Then another one hosted during the Winter (which would probably be some time during February). But if Fall is too inconvenient for everybody, then we could hold off everything until February like you suggest. Would this be a better idea or does everybody think it’s feasible to travel to a tournament in November?
If by “worried about staffing/organizing” you mean that you’re worried about our ability to host this in SLO, don’t worry. I believe our community is large enough and dedicated enough to run a tournament of this caliber. Our only insecurity is wondering if many people would show up to this in the first place, hence why I’m trying to get the word out about this now as well as find a convenient date that would work for as many people as possible.
the more often the better
that’s pretty homo
bitch you gay. you smilin’ all over dat shit
Yeah but I said no homo twice.
I was concerned about the local games/ranbats. I know if I were to try to run one at FFA, I’d be asphyxiating and browning out within the hour, or at least coughing up a lung along with the phlegm clogging up my trachea; at AI I’ll be tending to a bass-induced headache within as much time. Call me weak, but that’s been the pattern for years now. Organizing the local games needs a few people in charge each time, if for no other reason than because perfect attendance by any one person is unrealistic.
I can understand the worry behind the SLO attendance. It may help to have some kind of (semi-)official registration list going somehow, or some kind of RSVP. Maybe evite?
I don’t think anyone’s expecting you to run these ranbats on your own, Phaethon. I doubt any of us have the time/resources to handle running BOTH the AI and FFA ranbats. We’ll get something put together for sure.
LOLOLOLOL
How are the machines at AI anyways? I remember when they had slash, a few buttons didn’t work.
Hellfromabove, I think you’re jumping the gun here. We should run the ranbats the same way Jo ran the AI ranbats a few months ago. They only had a $2 entry fee, and a $1 late-fee if someone was late or written-in after brackets were done. I seem to recall them being only single elim. too. FFA and AI ranbats should be run the same exact way.
Either way, cool it until we figure out who’s going to be able to commit to running these things.
Edit: Japanese removed
;[ i can read it but to bad i dont know what the words mean
Where’d you guys get those tier lists from?
Are there any recent matchup charts, too?
Is Ky really that low?
i am 100% down on coming to a tourney if its anywhere in the middle of cali and if its on a weekend. i just wish guilty gear was more popular up here in the bay, as a matter of fact, last time i checked golf land they had a broken ggx2 machine. unfortunetly, i don’t have ggac yet but it comes out the 11th of september. gimme more details on the tourney in november and maybe ill see you guys again soon .=)
so heres all my pics from evo: http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c199/Dontuel/
theres not too many about 1/4 of them are socal 1/4 vegas peoples and then the rest are just random
it was really fun riding up with every1 and big thanks to purrin ofcourse…hopefully see every1 soon. I’ll see what i can do about getting up to those AI ranbats
Lol, it’s too late Kevin. He’s already been turned.
If you have a 360 get Puzzle Fighter II HD and* Bomberman Live*!
You guys up for something down in SD county this weekend? If Karl is free we should hang one last time before he goes back to Trauma Center: The Rest of Your Life Edition.
i recall karl saying he’s out for burning man this weekend, and that he’ll be back next week to hang out at some point.
obviously, i’ll be down here if you guys want to hang when karl gets back
hopefully we can really flesh out ranbat details then. i do like the idea of having a mini rivalry thing going between AI and FFA, though depending on who attends what, i don’t know if that’s feasable. Anyways, from discussion, it seems taht render and tushar can help with FFA ranbats and Jo can help with AI ranbats. We’ll probably need more than that, so any volunteers? I can probably help run a few AI ranbats, but I don’t plan on going to FFA ever since it’s so far and i’m in SD.
I’d like to record this shit, but that’s entirely outside my realm of control. Jo, what did you have to do to get ranbats started last time? just talk to the manager and arrange a time?
fixed.
