Looks like it’ll be held at Magician’s in Cerritos. If Moo’s in, then it’ll be at the same location as last time.

Sounds good last time I had a great time playing you all those sets Oldman :tup:. I need to play Ren more this time ha…so I can really get used to playing agaisn’t Grant more ha. I’ll be coming to the meet but real late at night…since I had some plans in the afternoon. So I hope you guys can wait for me, Giby and Manny to come by around 7 pm or so. Slight change in plans. The day and time for this meet will be 5/29 (sun NOT sat) between 10 and 11am for the start (lord knows when it’ll end). Sorry for the last min announcement. Hopefully this won’t be too much of an inconvience for people. As for food, looks like turkeyz on the menu guys… yes… TURKEY!

what’s with the turkey?
We’re having Thanksgiving a little early this year, with a side of Garou.
Sounds like a good plan…Sunday works better for me since I got my B-day BBQ thing on Sat. I’ll be there with Giby bright and early ha…also is it possible if I can spend the night Ren? I would rather do that…since driving late at night almost gets me killed all the time. Alright well hopefully enough people try showing up this…see you guys at the meet/tourney.

Dude, I seriously had more motw game yesterday than an entire YEAR’s worth’ at camelot. I was surprised how people can pull guardcancels and reversals at will. I just sorta expected people fucking around, but I’m really glad people are playing at their bst level on it! Now, I have a reason to go back to arcade and start practicing. Good games.
Just wanted to say what another great meet and tourney we had this time around. I was glad to see a new face and was also glad to the see the regulars as well. Ren as always your Grant is still very Solid and beastly ha…but I think I’m getting closer to shutting him down soon enough. Oldman as always great set of games we had…as the day keep doing our matches were getting more and more intense. Keep up your Rock still very solid indeed…can’t wait to play you again as well. Manny keep up your Freeman action…I saw you doing pretty good with him during the tourney…keep it up.
GGs to Giby as always…though we play each other most of the time anywyas ha. I think we are pretty much ready for EVO if anytong does pop up there. I think we should have at least like a pre-EVO meet/tourney again…so that we aren’t all rusty by the time EVO comes around. I’ll be practicing mostly with Giby till then, it should be another great meet this time around. I also hope that hopefully more people show up to the next meet as well. The more people there the more variety in styles and play…would be great. Alright again GGs to everyone and I’ll see everyone at the next meet. Take care.

Although everyone wasn’t able to attend, it was still a great meet. This was probably the largest turnout that I’ve ever been to. Thanks and GGs to everyone who did come out.
Everyone showed a noticeable improvement. Mag’s Grant was solid as usual. But, I don’t think anyone who’s been to these needs to be told that. Gib’s Jae and Noc’s Kain (and everyone for that matter) were in top form. Alotta matches w/ Noc in particular. Noc: I wish I could’ve given you a little more variety near the end. I think you pretty much figured out my whole game by the end of the day. It was still fun playing your meddley of characters, though. Hope to see everyone next time.

yeah had fun at my only second tourney and hope to go to more.
i still need way more practice on garou and even kof after playing u guys. so soon im getting a stick to practice and hopefully be better at these games…been playing to many racing games…
so hopefully by the next tourney ill be a little better, have a stick, and not have to sit in the back of jaimers truck anymore :tup:
one last thing, where would i be able to find garou for dc so i can practice at home? or should i get the ps2 version?

Well sorry I missed this but it was a miscommunication issue. Well I defenetly make it to the next meet to beat up on you guys lol.
BTW REN I received you PM and my opinion would be to stay on the 2/3 round format and maybe plan to do this on the PS2 since it should be coming out before evo and more people will have access to that and a PS controller.
To me it doesn’t matter if its on DC, PS2 or even MVS (Set 1) ha…I will play on any version…except those whacky versions for the MVS. 2 out of 3 is the best option even though games tend to go by quick like that…but its ok by me. Ren you aren’t going to post the small tourney results :)?..even though it was only 6 people that entered ha. Yea EVO should be good as far as Garou comp goes so I can’t wait myself…and also for KoF comp. So far I entered like 4-5 games this year again for EVO…so I’ll be getting some practice going on for sure. I think we should have another meet before EVO for sure…so we aren’t all rusty when we get there. Oscar it was too bad you couldn’t make this last meet, had some crazy games going ha…the finals could have been better in my part :(. Alright well can’t wait till the next meet and EVO as well. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get a chance to try out the PS2 version of Garou to let you guys know how close it is to the MVS or DC. Alright take care.

My bad… I forgot that this past meet was actually a prize tourney (probably the smallest tourney ever, heh heh). Hopefully we see more heads at the next meet, whereever that may be. Tentatively speak’n, I’m think’n 7/30 for our next meet.
And now for the results (tho I’m not put’n up all the stats):

Coming into the finals, me and Noc where tied at 4 games a piece (thanks to my bro be’n the only one to kill my ass… and time’n me out TWICE at that… UGHHH!!! :mad: ) Noc put up a good fight on the 2nd game, but come’n up short 2:3 rounds and thus take’n the loss. Much props tho, he nailed me with some MEAN combos… (as well as MG).
No one kept track of what went down between MG and OM (an issue I’ll have to clean up by evo), but both of them went into the semis having won 3 games each. Overall, another REEEALLY great meet. Thanks for helping me set this up guys. I got plenty of good ideas from making this tourney more official (tho it didn’t need to be… it was still fun).
As for versions at evo, we are definitely go’n with the DC. Even if the PS ver were to release, not enough of us will have had enough time to practice with it. And even then, the most available set ups that we got are DC. PERHAPS it’ll be PS2 or XB, or even PC NEXT year, we’ll see.
