I sent my address, so hopefully they get to me before the end of the week. I can convert them if I have to, but for now, I’ll leave them mpegs.
Some guy posted this over at neo-geo.com. He’s a new guy and I don’t know him, if you want, I’ll redirect him to this thread.
hey guys is enybody interested in going to TS5 we might be able to get tickets for like 150 round trip. let us know whats up me and ANS are going
Hmm, I’ll have to see what I’m doing that week, I dunno if I’m gonna have classes that week or not, and I dunno if I’ll have the cash. I’ll find out about a month before TS5.
I was hoping you guys were going to say that…I really want to go to this as well. TS5 is going to be good this year…so I’ll do my best to save up and go. Though I need a job first . I will do what I can to get that going. Also the whole website idea sounds pretty cool…I think we should give that a shot. Alright guys take care.
Jaime
got some bad news, and maybe a tiny good news… Bad: My capturing recorded the footages as MPEG2, which means it’s more like DVD quality, but it’s not .vob… so, my DVD burner can’t read it!!! The tiny bit of good news, I’m doing some test on it… I’m converting it to MPEG1, which is VCD quality, but BAD news again: because it’s compressed, there are slight frame loss, not so bad that it’ll kill, but certainly slightly noticeable…
I’m gonna do all editing i can, such like removing character selection screens and whatever unwanted space, then I’ll convert them yet again… MG, if you have messenger, let me know and I’ll send a sample clip to you for approval before I send the rest via mail… yahoo or AIM would be best…
Send me a sample while your at it :)…I’d like to see how it turned out. Well the important thing is that we at least get the footage done. I hope you can at least tell whats going on in the matches ha. Just take your time with it dont rush it, so hopefully it all turns out great. Alright take care.
Jaime
you can tell what’s going on, but it’s kinda like comparing a MVS Kof’98 (DVD format) to a PS Kof’98 (VCD format)… so it’s still good, but no longer clean… however, if you view at 100% (small screen), it’s pretty clean… otherwise, frameloss…
Noc, email me at frostymoo@gmail.com … I’ll send you a sample clip tonight… or you guys can message me with AOL messenger (AIM), i’m under djcharliemoo … lates
Cool I’ll IM you up once you log one to get that sample…sounds good…alright talk to you later.
Jaime
MG, I’m gonna send you the final product one CD at a time, I think there’s gonna be 5 CDs… before every match, there will be a text of showing who versus who, then the match… we have 32 matches to show… I’ll see if I can add any extra Bubble Images during battle… First CD will be sent on Monday… peace out.
Any reason you can’t run the mpeg2’s through VirtuaDub or something similiar to convert it to Xvid with mp3? 32 matches should fit on a cd easily, even with great quality. Hell, burn the mpeg2’s onto a dvd and mail it to me, and Ill get the conversion done for you.
This is me first time coverting stuff from Mpeg2… Toodles, what program do you use and is it free? Things are at MPEG format for now… so, instead of having 12 Gigs of vids, we have around 3 Gigs of Vids… let me know what program i should be using considering there are gonna be other times when I’m gonna need to convert these vids again… blah… and other note, I can’t copy MPEG2 formats onto DVDs cuz me DVD burner can’t read those…
After watching the sample clip I have to say that it isn’t that bad really. The quality/sound is not the best but you can see and hear whats going on. Which is fine by me…I know later on we will bust out better quality footage. I think right now it’s good enough for everyone to check them out. Alright I can’t wait till the vids arrive at Giby’s pad…I’ll be over his pad in a second ha. Take care guys and thanks for all the hard work Moo. Later.
Jaime

The Beholder
The Beholder - this is kind of our 2nd try at get’n footage. I’m pretty sure some of the clips should be make’n their way pretty soon. None have been OFFICIALLY released YET. If you absolutely can’t wait, I suppose you can try PM’n Moo to get previews from him (Certain people already have).
From what I understand, the conversion process we’re go’n thru is kind of long (due to the og source - VHS to mpg). In all, we have somewhere between 4.5-5 hrs worth of footage. There is also A LOT of edit’n envolved. We still gotta cut out extra crap like char select and handicap set’ns. For now, it looks like clips will be released “by the round” because each round is roughly 45MB!
The main prob we seem to have right now is figure’n out how to either compress the mpg even further OR better yet, find a way to compress the audio portion in the mpg (from wav to mp3?). If anyone has any suggestions on software and have instructions, please PM and or Moo.
Keep Play’n! Peace
Use Adobe Preimere guys, it has an iternal COmpressor…but you have to mess with it a bit to get a good quality compressor.
i’ve compressed many thing before with it.
I don’t have adobe premiere… but, it seems like we finally came up with a solution… me and MG talked about it, and I’m sending him the vids as MPEG-1 formats and he’s gonna compress them to WMV formats… so the ratio is dropped nearly 3 to 1… the only unusual thing about this is that the sound is mixed into one speaker, so the other speaker will have no sound… strange, but it works…
will, it seems nice ya know…and hey, as for me i dont care bout the sounds…i care bout the game, so go do it
Hey everyone…i got one damn surprise this weekend, be waiting for it.
It’s my first Garou Gato act. Vid…it’s just a sick Vid
For who who know me, Yes so sick and please be waiting ^^
For who donot, Please i’ll be pleased if you can see my vid :china:
i’ll release it on either friday or Saturday(depending on the editing).
will be released at www.ullysis.com in download section (must be a member and membership is instant access)
see ya all soon :china:
When ripping movies, I usually use some sort of mpegx/Divx codec (Xvid is best, but I havent tried getting a codec for it for compressing). Converting from one format to another is pretty much what VirtuaDub is made for, but my knowledge of current methods is about 2 years behind the bleeding edge. If the uncompressed original data will fit on a dvdr or two, send me a copy and I’ll see how well I can shrink those puppies down and paypal a couple of bucks to the sender for the media. Xvid for video and mp3 for audio will make nice packages, but the compression time will take a while.
The editing in of the player names and all, was that done on the compressed version, or the uncompressed (meaty? haha) version?
