moo’s got my information, so with luck I’ll have the uncompressed streams in a week or so. Once I do, Ill try to get them broken down between matches, and encoded in proper Xvid/MP3 format. For distribution, I need a suggestion though:
Anyone know of any .Torrent trackers that I could use to track these? If these are 4 hours worth of games, we’re still looking at 500-1500MB for the set, so a torrent would be best. Any suggestions on a tracker that would be kosher to host these?
I dont really know how the whole torrent thing works…though me and Giby did talking about hosting the videos that way. I think Giby might have an idea of how its done…he’ll post sooner or later if he does know of one. Thanks for helping out with the videos Toodles…always great to have help with stuff like that. If any questions, ask. I know how trackers and bittorrent work, but the tracker I used to use (when tdc_final was distributed that way) is down. Just need a new tracker. When the files get ready for distro, you create a .torrent from the originals, upload the .torrent to the tracker, and then hand out the .torrent to whomever wants it. I just don’t have access to a stable tracker, and don’t think my 'net connection is reliable enough to host the tracker myself.
Hmm, it’ll be pretty tough doing it that way. I was thinking about hosting the vids somewhere(S-C.com, CV.com or KOF Cyberfan)I’m gonna try those before I do anything else. As for torrents, I can find out how to do it all right now just incase none of those sites could host them all.

Well since we are all waiting for the videos and all…I think it’s time to start planning for another meet :). Right now I just got a call for a job offer so I’m starting a new job this week. That means that I can’t make this Sat SNK tourney :sad:, I would really like to go but it doesn’t look like I can. To make up for this I decided to go ahead and start planning for our next meet guys. So post up what time and day would be best mostly around Feb when we can meet. Alright guys take care and keep playing.

As for the vids…I still haven’t gotten the cd’s, so I can’t give a date for them yet. Once I get them, I’ll start right away.
Another meet sometime in mid Feb maybe? one every 1-2 months sounds good imo.

Noc - Keep sharp’n up that Kain. I’m look’n forward to a boss battle. Of course, I’ll also be bring’n it with about half the cast as well. Oh, and I’m also down to get in some more 3S (w/ my scrubby SpinKuma). I would mess with more characters in that game, but you guys know most of my free game time goes to GAROU!
Sorry we weren’t make’n more noise. I’ve been busy WITH classes (and TRY’N to get into others… classes that is :rolleyes:). Things ought to settle down a bit more in about a week if not 2. As long as there are good opponents who are willing to play this game, this thread won’t be die’n out any time soon.
As for get’n another casual organized, I was think’n perhaps some time between these dates: 2/19-21 (20th, look’n the best). Once again, itz time to look for a host. We’ll have to see who’s gotta do some travel’n this time around… since the Lan and OC crews are even at the mome. I’ll give Ans and company a holla VERY soon. I believe they’re concentrate’n on an upcome’n tourney here at the mome.
We’ll various forms of the “(psuedo) First” casual footage have been released to certain members in the scene for final production. Can’t wait to see what you guys got.

Yes my Kain shall be ready for the next meet ha…boss battle sounds good…sign me up. As far as those days go…it sounds pretty good…only thing is I was kinda planning on attending that FFA SBO Qualifier tourney. But if thats the only day you guys can make it then count me in ha. A Sat would be best since I dont have to worry about much stuff on weekends. So the 19th of Feb sounds good then…lets try getting it for that day if you can all make it. I’m down for 3S but would rather have more Garou going ha…but I can bring my Shin Hugo along haha.

The dates are only a suggestion. I would side with the sat over fri. Sun would in theory be doable for most cuz most people get the mon follow’n off. I know that a lot of people take advantage of that long w.e. (Presidentz Day… no?), so depend’n on the possible turn out, we may or may not be able to have it then.
If you are interested in go’n to a major qualifier, by all means do so. I would say that that is more important… at least to me. I mean, these ARE casuals after all… they SHOULD be able to be set up any time. Qualifiers are serious stuff. Good luck to you on that. If we can plan for an alternate sat, I might be down with that.
I just mentioned the 3S thing, since I can’t really provide you guys any sort of other competition if we were to take any small breaks from Garou… I mean, itz not like I’m any sort of KO or Daigo either tho. :razzy:

Hey guys sorry I havent been in touch lately but if you remember I’m organizing a KOF02 tourney and its gotten out of hand. Some how the word spreaded around and now I have more than 40 people trying to join this thing. Magician might remember how hard is to run a tourney with 12 player now imagine 40+ :shake:. Well I might get some footage to show you next meeting. Keep playing and planing the meeting, you know I’ll be there regardless.

I got the first batch of matches(19) yesterday. I’m gonna convert them tonight and see about hosting them tonight or tomorrow. If everything goes as I planned it, I’ll have it up tonight.

Well this thread hasn’t been having much going for it lately ha…time to wake it up. So are we still doing the Feb 19th or 20th meet for Garou? Since the SBO qual thing isn’t going as well as I thought at FFA. I’d rather do the Garou meet ha…besides I’m hungry for some Garou comp.
