The local streamer of FGC gatherings let me stop by his house a few weeks ago and record me in the lab for a little over an hour showing/discussing various aspects of Frank/tech. He was off-mic when asked questions so it sounds like I’m talking to myself, but he asked some good questions and the answers should still make sense. The clip’s unedited, but the mistakes on demonstrations were fairly minimal. Worth a look if you can find time, I can pretty much guarantee there’s at least one or two things in here you’ve never seen/known about Frank (even if it is just how Zombies can deny you perfects ).
Damn cool stuff. That bit about frame data was actually really cool. Gonna see where I can steal some stuff, make it work with my team, learn some optimal combos.
Is that grounded Tools :s: loop superior to the quick-cancel Tools :s: loop?
Also, that zombie-no-perfect thing is cool. Maya is similar: even if you take no damage, if Maya gets tapped, no perfect for you.
I think maybe why you weren’t beating the Ace Attorney was because it comes out so fast that the zombie isn’t on the screen yet.

I use that alpha counter with frank often when I fight characters like Vergil. Even xfactor level 1 does a lot of damage with level 1 frank. I probably should change my team a bit to make it more tuned towards getting frank to level 4
There was something that I did with Frank West (I made a combo video) except it’s got a lot of downsides.<div><br></div><div>1. The quality is pretty bad lol</div><div>2. It was done a long time ago whereas now i’m much better so the combos in said video could be better</div><div>3. I’m willing to make a newer, more detailed video if it came to it.</div><div><br></div><div>I was going to post what I was talking about now but I don’t want to cause it doesn’t reflect my current skill level so yeah. <span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”>In the meanwhile, i’m going to look at that Frank West video above.</span></div>
<div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Just wanted to show you guys a team that I have been using for some time now. Frank/Dante is a very popular pairing, but not many people know of how efficient the team can be with Chris Redfield thrown in as point character. Chris is able to use both Frank and Dante’s Assists offensively as well as defensively, and level up frank up to level 5 in almost any situation, anywhere on screen. Sorry for bad quality (capture card broke), and not showing meter gain/loss (forgot). Let me know what your thoughts are…</span></font></div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj1wvlvsUrM</span></font>
I’m almost confident that this would build both of the bars necessary to get Frank to 5 on its own, though probably not the third to top off the damage. You should check.
I really like this, but my concern is ironically how much damage it does. With most of those confirms, you’ve effectively killed a good chunk of the cast with that damage before Frank gets to level up, and that’s considering they were at full health when you started. Are you able to cut it short at a moment’s notice so that they don’t die?
I was wondering if you all would provide some feedback on my frank neutral play in this video. I think frank is amazing but I have issues with strong zoning teams. This was the first time I have played a high level Morrigan so I thought it would be a good chance for feedback. I have switched away from Doom and am running Jam session so feedback around that would be good as well. Thanks for your time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U38zZ5Xd-Ts
Random Frank level up video that came up from a discussion on the nova boards. If you choose to cut the THC altogether you’re still getting level 4 Frank meterlessly. I love this team.
Here’s a video I made experimenting with Nova’s assist (+ Jam Session) and Tools L loops. The video quality’s not good (camera not capture), but the content’s pretty clear.
