yo that guy’s defense and movement were incredible. imo he’s the best frank player i’ve seen in these majors. i was impressed with his mixups and damage optimization.
ApologyMan’s the only Frank player who is actually Charge Partitioning his zombies, Like I said before. Best tournament frank out right now.
He should’ve been using em a bit more for opening mixups, but I digress.
How do you even charge partition
to be clearer you can dash inbetween by going neutral then dashing and then pressing f+attack for zombie throws. i was wondering about this for awhile since all i got was that link that contained no context for this game specifically (though it does explain what charge partitioning is i guess, though you could just straight up say 'its charging but then you can do something else inbetween the starting and ending motion)

Nova/Frank anyone? Next time I go to play I’ll test this setup and record it if I’m successful. Super nova > FFC. Can anyone think of another character (who can level frank well) that can do this? Skrull, Vergil, anyone else?
I tried with Vergil for about 30 minutes. Can’t find anything. Will try Nova now.
Really does not seem to work with Frank. Can’t tell if I am just missing something though.
I can get it to work with Nova/Frank pushblock only, Grav Pulse M on incoming, cancel into Grav Blaster, DHC to FFC.
Edit: Yeah, same deal with Super Nova, works if they pushblock, but not if they don’t. Would be good if you had a safe option for the DHC if they didn’t pushblock, but alas.

I remember tinkering with this concept in general a while ago with low hitstun decay stuff like snapshots and the like with Frank on point, and it didn’t work; the game has safeguards in place that even if you recover from a move in the air, you still can’t be thrown/FFC’d until you press a button. My guess is the DHC may have something to do with screwing it up; Abegen was doing similar concepts in the past. I’ll tinker some more when I get home.
It’s definitely possible, i just got it to work on the training dummy set to block all except low, by doing cr.M, S with Nova, and then activating Nova Force at various points as they come back down, it’s only worked two out of about 20 tries so far though. I don’t know what the deal is, but if there is a hard rule about not being grabbed it’s definitely possible to break it with Nova Frank.
Edit: Ok, got it 5 in a row. So there’s definitely no rule that says they can’t be grabbed as far as i can tell, Super Nova just seems to cause a LOT more blockstun than the original examples. The timing needs to be “Power Of The Nova Frank” or later, which means that the incoming height is just way too low, i have to activate super almost as soon as they recover in the air on neutral tech. Sooooooo we need to find something we can hit someone with first frame incoming with that has very little blockstun, Javelins? It’s 3am here but i might put some more work in tomorrow.
TLDR: It works, but not on incoming with Super Nova, too much blockstun.
It won’t work with Nova on incoming via Nova force or any other super; you can force a meaty block via an off-screen gravimetric pulse H and immediately do Nova force, speed tackle or Gravimetric blaster and they don’t recover in time. I was even trying stuff like super jump air L xx Nova force (whiff) into FFC with no success. I don’t think Nova has a button on incoming to do it with.
u need to use a DHC that causes less than 13 frames of block stun. Not advantage/disadvantage on block, but block stun.
Wanna try this is Phoenix Wright. Not sure if I would use Maya or Order, though.
