So You THink You Can Dance? Season 10

Jasmine is very good obviously, but Amy seems much more refined overall. Her performance with Travis Wall solidified that for me, I don’t think Jasmine could’ve executed that number as well as Amy did.

Amy’s number with Travis will probably win her the whole thing. It was clearly the best dance of the season and a top dance of the entire show. I can’t believe last night they had a “vote on which dance you want” between Malese and that short dude or Travis and Amy. Really?!

lol I was thinking the same thing.

That said, Jasmine’s hip hop piece was my favorite of the night. She stole the show from Comfort which really says a lot. Her power play by choosing Hip hop was really smart. Didn’t know she could’ve danced with Ciara on tour but it doesn’t surprise me. She’s now inches from 100k anyhow.

It’s amazing how much bravado and confidence she displays in her routines and how doe-eyed and insecure she is in real life. It’s astonishing how all these talented people like her and Haley can struggle with insecurity.

Other stuff:

-Melinda’s an All Star… who?

-I agree that Amy is always fully committed to her roles. The way she ran off the stage and had Robert catch her, there was no hesitation from her whatsoever, similarly to how she leapt towards Travis in her now-memorable routine.

-So Nigel has a real love of Tap, I know it was his OG style back in the day, but the overjoyed way he reacted to Aaron’s routine has me wondering if he’ll ever risk introducing it officially next season. We might have a GesTAPo on our hands.

-It’s really cool how Cat Deeley sticks her neck out (no joke intended) for others like Jasmine and she has a good spirit overall. She really adds to the show.

-This pre-finale show wasn’t one of the strongest, but it’s due in part to the styles they were given.

-Last but not least Stacy Tucci is a real cutiepie.

I agree with you that Jasmine’s hip hop number was both very calculated and the best of the night. It felt like Mark’s sophomore effort was a little too crazy and less refined than his first crazy piece.

There was literally nothing shocking about that finale.

Storybook ending. The couple won it. This finale was a bit weaker than the others, but it was still an enjoyable season. Midseason I would’ve never have guessed Amy would be a favorite of the audiences, even with all her talent. Fik-shun was a shoe-in though.
