The tapper chick should’ve gone home, even though she’s from my hometown and all Jasmine M. had more talent and commitment in her routines.
That blindfolded performance was soooo underrated. I can’t even begin to imagine the technical and mental difficulty involved in such a routine, and learned in less than a week too . Dancers at this level are amazing.
Ugh, bye bye Mariah’s thighs 
Her thighs had to split, and not in the way you’d like.
Once again Fik-Shun proves that he’s an all star, tremendous performance on all angles. I haven’t been giving his partner Amy the credit she deserves either, they’re a dynamite couple.
The closeup view on Hayley’s dad’s face when they were talking about how Curtis took her on a date was priceless. 
Makenzie and Paul’s performance was also quite enjoyable, esp. Makenzie with that arched posed at the beginning, wow…
Malece’s hip hop routine was excellent, I kind of felt bad for Alan, soooo awkward to watch.
The one thing I hate is this whole thing about putting on guest judges that know nothing of the subject or have skill in that area. Carly Rae Jepsen? Really?
It’s like getting Nikki Minaj to be a judge in a singing competition… oh wait.
I literally had to walk out of the room every time she spoke. Holy fuck that was a horrible choice! She literally added NOTHING to the show.
I can’t decide who is more gorgeous Makenzie or Hayley. Hayley’s Argentine Tango might be my favorite performance of the season thus far.
Jasmine Harper’s solo was phenomenal, she took “Dancing for her life” to heart.
I’m glad the 2 stragglers got cut, even if one of them was from my hometown.
I don’t know how the hell Amy was in the bottom 3 for girls last night. That literally makes zero sense.
Last week was a great night in So You Think You Can Dance history. All the performances were very entertaining and most were on point. The most memorable for me was Paul and Whitney’s routine, Chelsea Hightower may have the best legs in the business, but Whitney comes very close. Damn…
I got to give Paul his dues, the dude is mad talented as well.
This week was also exceptional.
Highlights:
-Let’s go straight to the performance of the night. Amy and Travis. Amy easily pushed her self to the head of the pack. I would be satisfied if she won. The performance was so good I replayed it again right after I saw it. I do agree with the judges on Travis, he’s a literal genius when it comes to his craft. That guys is going to become a benchmark for the future generations.
-Chealsea Hightower’s legs, that is all.
-Paul’s Hip Hop routine surprised me. i didn’t expect him to be so good. Comfort brought it out in him I guess. He has the ladies on his side and his experience winning the previous competition has certainly brought him far. I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes it as well.
-I enjoyed Hayley’s performance, but even though I’ve heard this all the time from pretty girls, it’s weird when they talk about insecurity issues, especially when she’s so talented and gotten so many accolades.
-I feel so sorry for Courtney Galiano. Having Multiple Sclerosis and going blind in her left eye, she’s been through a lot I must say to perform with such grace as she did. I’ve had a crush on her since the beginning, and it sucks someone so talented now has a disease that hits her in the worst possible way… her lifeblood.
-Jenna & Mark’s routine was interesting. I respect his originality, even though I can’t say I’m a fan. Jenna tore it up though.
-Fik-Shun staying was good. Tucker, although technique~wise he’s great he didn’t have the all the pieces for me as a performer. And as much as I like sweet little Hayley, Jenna brought her A-game throughout the entire competition, esp. in recent weeks. Hayley’s solo was weak, and was the only weak link last week, while Jenna did an excellent job. I do admit I understand the politics of the situation,as Nigel probably thought since she was always in the bottom 3 she didn’t stand a chance of winning anyway.
I thought the Jenna/Mark routine was out of this fucking world. It was pure genius. Can you imagine a Mark/Sonya collab?! Travis is clearly a fucking genius. Remember when he got second place to Benji?
Oh and 2 little observations from the past 2 weeks:
-Katharine’s adoration of Aaron last week was waaaaaay past just respect. She was literally fawning over him to the point where I thought she’d just publicly professed her love right there.
-This week when they were talking about Tucker’s performance they constantly panned to some blond dude in the audience with a hairstyle like Macklemore. Is that Tucker’s brother or…?
Me and my wife were trying to figure out if he was the brother or the BF because Tucker is clearly gay.
So I am 100% shocked by Paul going out third for the guys. I thought he had a chance to win it all…I’m going to give it to Aaron now. He’s never been in the bottom from what I can remember, he’s got skill and personality.
This was by far the biggest shock of the season. I felt early on that Fik-Shun was going to be the top 2, but when Aaron made it in, I thought Paul was definitely next in line. Lo and behold, Fik-Shun win the vote war.
After seeing Fik-Shun’s solo last night, I can’t say I disagree. I want him to win this honestly.
Jasmine, Amy, & Aaron also had terrific solos, these guys never cease to impress.
It was also great to see Joshua back, I was wondering where the heck he’s been. People probably think Twitch won Season 4 based on his appearances.
Nigel Lythgoe calling out Miley Cyrus. shots fired
The Miley thing felt cheap to me, like trying to be relevant for no reason. I was sooooo exited to see Joshua again, I was just remarking to my wife that he has never been back as an all star.
I love Fik-Shun’s solo work so much and I do like the idea of an untrained dancer in the top, but I also believe in a life’s worth of work paying off, so I can go either way. I just love that if Aaron wins this, he wasn’t even supposed to be on this season…
I agree on both counts. But at the same time Aaron looks like his life is already in a solid direction no matter what the outcome, and his family is pretty well off by the look of things. Fik-Shun on the other hand, was making money performing on the Vegas strip and doing low tier jobs before making it on the show. Not saying he broke, but he and his fam probably need it more than Aaron.
Joshua was an all-star in season 8. Did one dance with Tadd I believe.
I’m hoping for Fik-shun to take it. I really enjoyed his performances more then Aaron’s.
Win or lose Fik-shun definitely got a bright future ahead of him. I actually just saw Ivan Koumaev (top 6 season 2) as a backup dancer for Justin Timberlake at the MTV video music awards just this past week.
Overall, I was just very satisfied with the dancers this season. More so than some of the recent seasons. I still want Mariah’s thighs as ear muffs.
This season has had the most adaptable dancers in a while, but last season had some master class performers.
I’m surprised you never mentioned Jasmine Harper’s legs of infinity once Mariah left 'lib. lol
Probably because I actually really respect her as a dancer and focus more of my time on her technique than wanting to bang her.
B-buut Mariah was also a really good dancer!
I can’t pick between Amy and Jasmine, I will be happy with either one winning for the girls. In an opposite sense, I don’t care who wins between FikShun and Aaron.
Mariah was a good dancer, but Jasmine is insane. She’s just perfection on stage, plus her slight shyness/insecurity is more endearing to me than Amy’s constant positivity.
