Of course not, blondie’s rule. Of course… I’m an AZN looking mofo, but yeah I said it, blondie’s rule.
PS: If I recall correctly, alot of Tekken player heads used to play Virtua Fighter. I know Tommy Hilfiger used to play with the SoCal crew, though he doesn’t anymore.
Also, Ken_I plays VF!!! He played 100 matches with some of the SoCal crew recently and left with 75% win ratio. :looney:
Usually you can find me at AI every other weekend either Saturday Night, but most likely Sunday afternoon around noon/1pm. Since I’m in process of moving it might be a couple of weeks before I start making those drives out there again. But when I’m free again, I’ll ring you up.
I’ll be at those tourneys in Pomona and Anaheim on April Fool’s Weekend.
Damn, the Sherman Oaks gatherings would be ideal since that’s my neck of the woods but I work evening shifts. I’ll probably start meeting up at the Azusa gatherings some Saturdays.
i know this might sound bad but never hurts to try since it’s related to the topic. If anyone’s interested in a mint copy I received as a gift for a straight $40 (includes s&H) let me know as I have no need for an extra. PM me if interested.
^ There’s no word on whether it will be the same just yet, though it’s looking like it will be the exact same as the PS3 version, just most likely with achievements added to it. Though it -could- have the recently announced “Version C” of VF5, which has nothing to do with the fighting mechanics.
I won’t be of level to win but I will definitely be playing. Game is too rock solid and fun to not play. Maybe next year I’ll be of level to win
It has been confirmed that the 360 version will be Version C. As far as I understand, the only difference between Version A and Version B are the addition of the 2 extra costumes C and D. I don’t know what Version C adds/changes.
Hopefully, there will be a downloadable patch for the PS3 to upgrade the game to Version C.
By the way… I know I mentioned money matches… But I’m ok with playing non-money casuals too. I’d be glad to give some up-and-comers some tips mid-match as well.
VF5 is my main reason for coming. I have been beating the crap out of my friends since VF4 so I figured its time play against some real competitors and test out my skills.
That’s the spirit. I’ll set-up my PS3 with VF5 in the BYOC, so look for me. (I’m assuming you’re coming to East.)
Interesting. Did anyone ever make any comparison vids? Mainly, about the super glossy look. I’m curious to see the difference. Any pics from Version A will do.
I think if I make it out this year, I’m gonna go just for this. I don’t think I’m any good at it, but I’ve been having a lot of fun playing it lately, and well, I think I’m kinda done and over anything Capcom for a while, other than some casual play, so this could be a fun change.
Trevor, if I make it out, I’m looking forward to you showing how to play this thing, as I’m sure I have no clue how to play it for real, and nobody here in NJ seems even remotely interested in it!
Yes, NJ is really bad for VF. When I lived there, I had met only 2 people ever who had actually heard of it at least. And neither were any good at it, of course. I was unable to get any of my friends interested in it. Although none of them are big on fighters anyway. (just a little DOA and SC)
Anyways, come find me in BYOC (I’ll have a PS3 with VF5 set up) and we’ll play some friendly casuals. (Don’t worry, I won’t always whip out my mighty Sarah against you) I’ll give you tips mid-match and whatnot too if you want.
Play through all of Evo’s Tutorial. If you play the main game, don’t get too used to how you play. Regardless of what char you go with, you’ll have to make many changes when you play as VF5.
