So what is with the Jin hate?

But you can dye your hair in this game lol.

I started to love jin once i found you could play as new york knicks jin with the dlc colors.

i love ice car it owns so much.

for the same reason i hate ken on sf, 15 out of 20 matches will be jin, the other 5 will be nu or ragna, people only pick one of his colors, and he has very spammable moves and people spam them. to date i have played only one good jin and it was in a player match lobby.

…I can’t tell if this thread if facetious or not…god I hope it is.

i don’t really hate jin, its just that i get annoyed seeing ppl spam ice car and not learning the character when i kill them every single match.

This is why people hate Jin users…from one of the comments posted in my youtube videos:

i hate jin because he has 1 hit stuns. the ice works just like how stuns worked in GG, you have to wobble out of that shit but you’ll still get raped.

I usually have a lot of close matches with Jin’s since I main Litchi and all, you can get pinned down easily so you pratically have to sit there and defend most of the time to wait for a opening as your opponent wails on your guard, it’s tiring but I’ll give Jin some slack as Arakune is more of a headache for me in the end anyway

Gold

^Saved.

I sub Jin but I occasionally get annoyed when I play against other Jins because of the freeze. Having to shake so fast especially on counter hit freezes is pretty annoying. It’s even worse when you shake one too many times, accidentally dash and eat a reset combo anyway.

He’s a great character but that’s a big reason why people hate him.

Yoithink da new yo’k knicks!

Got that right :frowning:

There are plenty of holes in Jin’s pressure strings that allow you to sneak a Tsubame in. Learn to IB and Tsubame and if you can’t figure it out from there it’s your own lack of skill. If you so happen to be caught without your staff then you deserve all the pressure Jin is throwing at you because that’s exactly what we have to do to end that match as fast as possible otherwise it gets ugly for us.

It really boggles my mind why Jin gets the majority of the hate when the top tier characters and Clap Loop Carls are far more broken then he is. It’s so easy to not fall for scrub Jin tactics and if you are losing to higher level Jin players it’s your own lack of skill and understanding of the match up that is causing your losses. Jin has no over whelming advantage over any character and the fact of the matter is that all his match ups are either 5-5 or 6-4 in his favor. 6-4 match ups are still very winnable in my books. People need to stop whinning and up their skills.

It’s impossible to hate Carl Clover.

It shouldn’t boggle anyone’s mind; this isn’t the first game in which a mid-tier character is the most disliked.

I’m not whining, I don’t hate him, and skills are only necessary for the characters who don’t have Machina to hide behind.

He’s fast, Litchi isn’t (as) fast, that’s my problem

I’m gonna use that anytime anyone bitches about Ice Car again, it’ll save me the time of trying to explain why they’re stupid, or just plain bad at the game.

i pity the fool that falls for the clap loop:lol:

btw: gg to you dasvanu, vs carl is my only match that has the possibility of making me running out of time trying to circunvent nirvana to get to carl.

and as allready stated the reason that everybody hates jin is that:

a) he is easy to use
b) he is fast
c) he has an answer to almost everything that can possible be trhown at him
d) the freeze and related reset combos
and of course:
e) the icecar(forget the unsafe on block bs smart ones will use it during combos or to travel to the other side of the screen scrubby ones will freeze and then spam the hell out of you)
f)every scrubby jin picks the same black color

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I remember you; you pissed me off lol. TIME UP

Funny thing is, I don’t agree with any of your anti-jin reasons (except maybe B.); especially:

C. has an answer for everything

He has no answer for a good turtler. Seriously. Just block low, and watch for that pathetic excuse he calls an overhead. If you get matched up with a 5D happy-Jin, IB it, wait for his dash cancel and stab him (or whatever you character can do). Stay grounded so you can normal block his DP (you can’t punish it from the air).

And as much as I dislike what seemed to be a condescending post earlier, Killey is, well… right. Jin happens to be even with everyone, so no one has an excuse to not win.

Condescending or not, the fact of the matter is that if you are losing your matches regardless of who you are fighting it’s mostly due to a lack of skill and understanding of the match up. The only time when it’s more of a bad match up then anything is when it’s like a 7-3 or 8-2 match up against you. Then I’ll say it’s due to a bad match up rather than a lack of skill cough Tager VS Nu cough.

Why I get pissed at Jin hate is because it’s undeserved for the most part and it’s just more people whinning at how they haven’t figured out how to deal with his tools and they make excuses for their losses. It’s even more undeserved when you look at the match up statistics and understand that Jin has to work for all of his victories and that nothing is just plainly handed to him. Even match ups tha are 6-4 in his favor are still winnable matches for the other character. I just don’t like the fact that Jin victories get laughed at or considered undeserved because it’s Jin. It’s uncalled for and stupid and the fact that he gets a thread of his own dedicated to hating him is BS yet there are no threads dedicated to the 3 characters above him that have more deadlier tools then he does or how there is a character that has an infinite in the game that is really easy to get in. For the record, I don’t hate on the top 3 and Carl but I’m trying to get across that they are better characters overall (except Carl) then Jin is and they go under the radar by the casual gamer. Of course, on higher levels the top 3 get plenty of hate.
