People, learn to fucking read properly.
lol smash…
…World of Warcraft is my favorite fighting game
SOOO, who actually played Melee competitively? (enough to where you went to tournaments that didn’t have a SF tournament going on, are on smashboards to play others, looked at strategy and frame data, etc.)
I played the game for about 6 years. Around 3 of those I was fiercely competitive.
i dont have to read what you posted to knoiw that is full of boo hoo,
guess what i can tweak call of duty modern warfare 2 with the options that the game gives me to play it one vs one with only knives, shield and grenades, and surprise is a 1st person fighter, hell have you seen the mind games and the zoning that ou are capable on the game.
only because the “hardcore” players of smash think that is a fighting game, that doesnt turn it into one, all the world see smash as a party game, what it is
lol party fighters
Someone might as well close this, the topic was done the minute it was open.
Transformers > the whole of Ingmar Bergman’s body of work
I mean, it sold a lot more tickets and generated more revenue and mechandise and
Why do you care so much? It’s really fucking pathetic to need validation from this community to call Smash Bros. a fighting game. The game sold MILLIONS. Brawl probably sold more than SF4, Blazblue and Kof13 COMBINED. Seriously bro, get the SRK dick out of your ass, apply some hot n’ cold, sit back and stop giving a shit.
Two Dios posting in direct succession means you must obey what is said
Only single-celled protozoa such as yourself are simple-minded enough to think I argue these points due to some agenda. I hold no attachments to the Smash community anymore. I’m not looking for validation from people like you, of all the sentient life on this planet to seek validation from.
I argue these points on the same principles I’d argue with the fucking Flat Earth Society regarding the spherical nature of our planet. In fact, SRK might as well BE the fucking Flat-Earth Society this forum is so collectively stupid. Debating with FGD members on logical grounds is like trying to convince a log to roll uphill via its own volition. I’ve seen rabid puppies initiate more complex thought processes than SRK members when choosing what bark to bite. I’ve seen Chris Burke do more complex math than you people. When I type ‘Geocentric Theory’ into my web-browser, it directs me to this website.
So get my dick out of your brain, you fucking leaky vagina.
I still love you MattCielo, despite your single-celled protozoa-ness.
And yet you continue to post and argue here.
Hypocrite much?
So… no one but SynikaL plays Melee?
Actually, most games nowadays sell because they are popular. Not because of quality. I’ve seen many good games languish by the wayside while hyped up games sell millions and get returned the next day because they either sucked or offered a short 6 hour SP campaign with no replay value.
Also, do we REALLY have to go through the “Smash is/is not a fighting game” bullshit? It’s blatantly obvious that it is a fighting game, just NOT a traditional fighting game like Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/KOF. It’s a different subsection of a genre…it’s a party fighter. Like that new ninja turtles game that came out or that old Kunio game on the NES. Do we REALLY have to make that distinction every time someone mentions Smash?
First, games that you think are good probably weren’t good. You liked them, but for what ever reason, people didn’t think they ere good.
Second, there are instances where people will buy something they think is good and find out otherwise. Usually, these games don’t sell for very long. Games are using hype to cover up their flaws and get you to buy them quickly. Hype is starting to die off as people tend to become savvier as consumers.
Did you ever read something on the internet that was so stupid and bad that you beat your head against the keyboard? That’s “Smash isn’t a fighting game.” to me. You have to cry for people when they are stupid enough to try and argue a genre. It’s stupidity at it’s finest.
@Hecatom: Reported
good luck with that, im so scared
btw, go cry me a river
I honestly think you’re confusing something subjective such as personal opinion with something that’s objective. Shit, you only have to look so far as the Street Fighter IV debate where even people who dislike the game because they think it’s not good buy it and play it because “there’s no competition elsewhere because everyone’s playing SFIV”. Games sell for the most part due to popularity, not quality nowadays. This doesn’t make these qualities mutually exclusive; there are some really good games that sell very well because they deserve it and some really bad games that rightfully tank. But I think you’ll find many awesome games don’t sell simply because no one knows about them.
Also, if you’re offended enough by the genre argument that you want to bash your own head in, I think you need to go take some Prozac or something and fucking relax, dude.
That’s it for me, said what I wanted to say. I’m not going to further contribute to the chances of this topic getting locked if I can help it, haha
Yes, I’m gonna go there
I’m gonna answer this dude seriously
lmao
Then it’s only good if it’s good to others, not to you? What is the exact number of people you need to find that like a certain thing for it to be considered “good”?
Statement of belief, can simply be countered with another opinion
Yes, and sometimes I even respond to these things
OMFG Hetacom! He just reported yo abusive ass!
Nice knowin’ ya buddy! =[
No disrespect to Synikal but this was FUNNEH!!!
