Pick up the broken characters and shut up. Your waifu sucks and you want to compete? Tough shit. Either get over it and choose what wins or stick with your team and invest in a box of tissues.
I noticed that people, who don’t understand why there is no update for UMvC3 also don’t understand anything related to business, sales numbers, costs, development, etc.
I’m not saying asking questions is bad, but if you think Marvel has to approve of frame data, you are dumb as shit.
I stopped playing SSFIV not along after it came out and never got AE. I was surprised by the patches and I think you have a point. A patch should only be to fix actual issues - bugs, glitches and maybe any broken shit like an infinite or something… maybe.
The game is popular on streams and at tournaments, but out of the 3 new fighting games put out this generation, MvC3/UMvC3 sold the least amount of copies. I’m not shitting on the game, it is my fav and the only game I play now (i have it on ps3, xbox360, and vita) But from a business standpoint it would be a waste of money to do anything with it this late in the sales cycle of the game and this generation of consoles.

Capcom VP Christian Svensson has been active in the Capcom Unity forums as of late regarding Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Most of it has simply been responding to fan requests regarding an update to the title.
This is the first time in a while that he has directly commented on the sales of the title though. The last time this happened it was a remark upon how it was disappointing that the sales of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 didn’t match Super Street Fighter 4’s.
Yassar: My question is this how many copies has the game sold up til now, i know you may be reluctant to give numbers but if thats the case sir can you atleast tell us if the game (UMVC3) was a flop? considered still to be a flop or actually over time it has become a hit?
Svensson: As you know, I can not divulge sales figures here. Only IR can do that.
That said, I’m satisfied with sales at this point and it continues to sell actively.
It looks like that over the long term, UMvC3’s sales have turned what was once a letdown into an acceptable sales range.
What does legality have to do with it? If I understand correctly, he said he doesn’t have the authority to release such numbers. Only a different department can.
Sales figures can lead to fluctuations in stock price. For the record, tight control of sales is actually pretty common in other industries as well. You’ll usually only see sales figures released if it’s deemed that it can have a positive influence on stock price.
A failure is a game that does not bring profit from what you initially paid to develop it. 10 mil copies sold can be a failure if the game cost 2 billion to make.
I’m curious. Regardless of your starting point, why create a discussion thread and refuse to acknowledge, listen to, or assimilate any of the replies or information given?
