So SFIV is on the 4th update and Ultimate cant even get some character tweaks?

Its hard to do something without the marvel licrnse after it expired. I remember that even dlc characters from marvel alliance were removed from the store after some time…then there is this staff problem and patches are expensive to do ( see skullgirls problem). Not worth the effort for Capcom : /

I think your best bet is MVC4 on the next gen systems.

Maybe is a sign to drop this awful game

Because no one honestly wants Capcom to do to Marvel what they did to SFIV and balance the game by making everyone mediocre.

I just wish they would fix the horrendous netcode for UMvC3.

I think it has a lot to due with UMvC3’s poor initial sales and negative reception even if the game has a devoted following and has had decent legs sales wise.

There’s a couple of quotes from Marvel saying they would be willing but I doubt Capcom is willing to shell out for whatever fees it would require at this point.

That disaster has done nothing but bleed money.

People shouldn’t worry, Marvel’s gonna get its turn . Folks just gotta wait.

They’re gonna keep updatin these games until the next installment is released. That said, so much for the success of a potential SFV and CVS3/2:OE; they don’t believe in brand saturation until it’s too late. Capcom, let them BEG…HARDER!

A. Nobody on the team wants to work on marvel 3 anymore.
B. UMvC3 sold very poorly.
C. Capcom doesn’t have the license.
D. Even the PS1 version of Alpha 3 out sold UMvC3.

Where is the work and money to put into an update?

I guess the multimillion dollar Nintendo should have just spent more money on Virtual Boy, right? If you’re going to use that kinda logic.

Oh well, guess its time to learn how to deal with vergil and zero since capcom isn’t bailing us out this time. I actually don’t like how many patches SF 4 is getting, we have never had the same version of SF 4 at evo in consecutive years because capcom patch it so damn much. Especially since AE 2012 was relatively well balanced, I mean there was some cheap shit but what game doesn’t have cheap shit?

Did it really sell less than SFA3 lol? That’s hilarious.

IIRC SFA3 sold 1 million copies on the ps1. Heck, it sold more than any 2d fighter that came after it, until SFIV.

This should have been the first thing on people’s minds anyway.

Fuck this new age FGC that expects Capcom/Arc/Netherrealm to bail them out everytime a character becomes top tier.

capcom can blame only themselves. Ultimate came out LESS THAN A FUCKING YEAR after vanilla, and everyone felt betrayed with how bare bones vanilla was, and Ultimate added only a couple characters and giving useless ass modes for a cool $40 bucks

While i agree that before asking of balance changes people needs to explore the game at least for a good amount of time, hoping for a balanced game should no be considered something negative imo

It shipped like 800k, but how much of those copies where sold is another story, it has been said that it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less than 500k between each console, like not even 300k, lol

Hoping for a balanced game is fine. Balancing that game by nerfing everything into mediocrity is not.

If it took this to get you to drop this game you have the willpower of a gnat.

Actually i dropped the game because is ass and i have better games to play, like 2 years ago

Lucky for us (well, not for the fans) only capcom balance™ that way

Mvc3 is the most interesting its ever been to me as a spectator of its absurd ridiculous nonsense. why ruin that with stupid shit?

Then why do you care if A) it’s updated at all when the core game will remain the same regardless and B) if anyone else plays it or not?
