I’m still seeing stuff like “TvC is broken” shtick despite the fact that there are many Karas neutralizers out there. Everyone likes to point out old vids with the Karas retardedness.
Talking about TvC brokenness again? Haven’t we all gone over this subject enough?
I always just say that people who say TvC is “broken” are just too stubborn to accept/admit their own stubbornness to learn the mechanics of the game. The game isn’t too complicated to learn, but has more depth than it looks. Stupid errors can be fixed with taking the time to learning how work around them.
“Oh you can mega crash into corner combo. Wah!”… Then stop and think… attacking with your back in the corner and block and jump out. You can burst in the new Blazblue into combos now, too. I can’t wait to hear people bitch about that.
“Oh, Karas is too good”… Choose your attacks wisely and know that his offense, speed, and range might be better than your character’s, so stop attacking so blindly. Look for mistakes in his offense, space with care, and take him out first before he builds more super meters than you.
There are more complaints that I’ve heard beyond just these two, but I’d have better things to worry about

honestly, i think those people who complain at it, are just bad at video games. doesnt karas have the lowest health? lol
karas isnt even the best…ken/tekka have that spot…I cant wait to see how they complain about ken/tekka being too “broken”

No. It isn’t the greatest balanced game out there, but it’s competitive. I’d say the balance is about on a level with SF4. Other than that people just complain about getting hit with shit they don’t know how to deal with because they don’t play the fucking game.

The current game is pretty damn broken, let’s not kid ourselves. Casshern + Polymar otg glitch retardedness anal fisting spree of doom is just ugly beyond compare. Invisible ken glitch and so on. Basically it boils down to becoming another ‘don’t get hit ever’ fighter, which turns out that everyone has something broken they can rely on, upending the brokenness and making it seem actually balanced.
But as far as character balance goes? It’s much better than MvC2.

See that shit hurts me. I mean we all know that I said shit just like this before and was shunned as always. I hope this gets shunned off as well because the typing is not all that great in there.
The game is NOT broken. There are a few things that need to be fixed, (like all really cool fighters, see Melty Blood.) so they droped a new version and gave us more people. Nothing about this game is too far gone.
I said this way back in the very early days of the tiers, “Not so much as a best solo player as the best team in the game will be Polymar/Casshern” and shit me look what happened, Karas became the best in the game, later was knocked off by Ken/Tekkaman, and yes that is right Casshern/Polymar.
Now they have fixed that by making the top tier all shook up by taking out piss easy infinites and adding new players to make it more of a toss up. The new game should be hailed as the new gen fighter but I know it will be over looked. Hopefully the online will net enough people to come out and admit they play it and are good and… well FUCK it is for the Wii.
I want to play the CGoH still but people are getting away from the game all together and more hyped about SSF4. (I really love alpha series so I am hyped as well) but we will see what happenes when the online drops and people respond.

I have to agree with the squirrel, the game IS broken. However, it is not broken because the characters are unbalanced, but because of all the ridiculous stuff in the game. It’s not as broken as the ignorant masses say it is though >_>
This tells me that everything you just said is invalid and I don’t even need to read it. I read it anyway, and you shot yourself in the foot because we’re talking about OLD tvc, not UAS. You even outlined a few of the things that I think are broken, and said they’re being replaced. If you think it’s not broken at all, then why should it be replaced?
As for ‘a few things’ that need to be fixed…do I need to post that glitch video again? I could count the serious glitches in this game on my fingers and toes…if I had an extra set of hands!

The game is broken in a sense of the way its being played now that a lot of things have been figured out yes. As far as it being unbalanced, no. Besides the otg nonsense, and other glitches. It is pretty damn solid and fun fighter. Being solid is the most important aspect of any fighter. So fuck the haters. Long live TvC.
Come on guys, really? No, it’s not broken. How often do you see that OTG glitch shit in an actual match, even with a good Cash/Poly player? Not often. Ken invisible glitch? Also very rare. Other than that, megacrash keeps the long combos from being too retarded as long as you don’t get hit by them repeatedly. There are broken things in it, but they aren’t significant enough to make the game broken.

Well just cause you don’t see it often, doesn’t mean it’s not broken. It can be done from a fairly common and simple combo situation. If everyone played a cass/polymer team and bothered to learn the glitch, I bet it would be complained about a lot more. And right now there only seems to be one player who can do the ken invisible glitch
