The original post is clearly biased in one direction (which is almost setup to attack any opposition and begin a flame war), so it’s hard to take this thread seriously, and I apologize for not doing so. In the end, if you think you’re going to get a proper debate in this thread, be ready to be disappointed.

I still don’t understand the point. Does the fact that the lunatic right ignore bush’s removal of certain rights make Obama’s removal of rights ok or something? Or did you have another point? I honestly couldn’t tell because it just sounds like typical “rep vs dem” partisan bickering to me.

The OP basically says, do you agree with the liberals who “supposedly” don’t do any research at all and supposedly blindly follow the President, or the conservatives who apparently are the only ones that do research and are apparently the only ones smart enough not to blindly follow the President? This whole thread started as a conservatives are holier than liberals debate at the get-go, and I was commenting on hypocrisy, which is very relevant to this thread.

They set rabid English football hooligans loose on the French and Germans with a promise of a bottle of Stella Artois for every one killed, which quickly turns to genocide and sees not only France and Germany, but also Belgium and Holland wiped off the map because, “they sounded a bit krautish/froggish innit”. Luxembourg survived somehow.
The rest of Europe (except Italy, which was nuked to prevent them trying to switch sides every 2 weeks in the case of a world war) quickly made peace deals with the Chinadian Empire, all except the Scottish government, who were already in league with the Chinese from long before these events after they had assassinated Mel Gibson and restored Scottish pride, that and the Chinese sure love our whisky, so in a throwback to the Victorian era the Scots took their place as merchants of the empire and were always sought after for drunken parties and other such debauchery.

Who knows? I don’t think anyone read the bill. This is the second time they dropped some 2,000 page bill at people’s feet and gave them a couple days to vote for or against. Hell, this time, I don’t even think they had THAT. Just what Obama called “an outline”. The first draft gave the government to right to view and yank funds from your bank accounts to pay for treatment without consent…I think that’s a little invasive. Might still be in there, with some new stuff.
