VS1 is the only one played for competition. I however really like VH and VH2. Gimmie rounds and the VS characters.
My favorite is Vampire Savior, I wouldn’t even bother with anything else (maybe becasue I am jsut used tot he Saturn versions, where VS owns VH on every level, including loading times, characters, etc etc etc, 4MB cart games owned!)
i love the upgraded saturn backgrounds.
did they add animations to the collection backgrounds?

Just got my copy, will try it out now.
ATTENTION TO EVERYONE THINKING ABOUT BUYING THIS GAME!!! Don’t but it from Lik-Sang, they are seriously jerking, it sells for around $45 in Japan (through Capcom’s sire at least) and LS is selling it for like $20 more, if you need to import one get it here for less.
So what does this Dee character play like?

are the tick throws arcade style(no delay) or are they chronicle style(delay)
Dee plays like a cross between Demitri (punches and kicks) and Donovan (specials).
You can play the JPN import on a USA system with Swap Magic discs and a minor alteration to the PS2, depending on the style.
The throws might be able to be changed in the dip switch menu.
It seems that the offical web page from Capcom for Vampire Collection has had an update. Can anyone translate it?
Not without doing some sort of modding to it.

I got it mainly for VS1.
Can’t say I’m disappointed so far, it seems arcade-perfect and there’s no loading time that I’ve noticed except at the main menu when switching from one game to another (a la SF:AE where you choose between HSF and 3s). Complete animations and crimson blood at last.Finally, after all this time grinning and bearing with DS3 for the PSX (when they took away the VS1 cab), I get to enjoy the franchise in its full form.
I can’t say I have an opinion of the Vampire Hunter games yet, as I’ve only experienced Night Warriors and Vampire Savior as far as the games go. I’m definitely going to give it a try too.

For those that have received the game recently. When you play VS2 are the messages (first attack, down… and so on) sound effects chimes and laughing or does it say them? I’m still trying to figure out if my disc is defective, that is how it supposed to be or a side effect of using Swap Magic? Any help is appreciated.
Also, has anyone found a way to select the original Vampire colored backgrounds in traning and Versus of Vampire Hunter?
I have the same issue. Posted about it earlier in this thread.
Unfortunatly, I believe it’s just audio bugs, not an effect from anything. I could be wrong, although I doubt exchanging your copy will fix anything. Normally the arcade version uses the same sounds for those messages as the other games.
