I’ve had a semi rear end the car I was riding in at 50mph. Anything like that can be pretty traumatic.

Glad you are okay man… yeah car accidents are shitty. I haven’t been in any serious ones but I’ve been in a few minor ones. Matter of fact I was in a car crash with a guy who ended up getting killed in another crash… Of course, he was drunk when he crashed the second time.
Cars can be replaced, lawns can be restored… your life cannot be replaced. Remind yourself that you’re lucky and you won’t feel so bad.
yea but i guess the difference is:
the guy whose lawn he destroyed obviously cares about his lawn but it seems no one cares about OP. so doesn’t that make the lawn more valuable than the OP since someone actually cares about it?
Serious accidents are traumatic experiences. Emotional outbursts after traumatic experiences are natural, so don’t let that worry you.
What you should worry about is your health. Regardless of how you feel now, you should go to a doctor for regular checkups on a semi weekly basis for at least a few months. Your PIP (which you should have) will cover it, so you shouldn’t have to pay a damn thing.

If you rear end someone it’s your fault you where driving too close for the speed you where traveling. It’s like you people slept through drivers ed or something.
I don’t understand why there is condemning of this person who is sharing literally a close brush with death with the rest of you. Is it because we all know that we are mortal that we feel that we have to attack him in one way or another? His death is just as tragic as any of ours and if you could just show him compassion for having such a life threatening experience, then you will realize that you will be extending a hand to him as a human being who almost lost this precious thing called life. Be open to your fellow man.
People think that tailgating is something which involves drinking beer while trying to choke down on a big ass hotdog. Which is technically right but sometimes you can do that without being near a football stadium.
when that happens you should pull your handbreak up and down really fast to get your car under control - other than that ive been in 2 car accidents in my life, its shocking for a bit but when you see you are fine you just get over it

He was probably crying because naturally, there are people that are more concerned with money than actual human lives. This is a truth and tragedy in it’s own right. Just like death. Human beings don’t want to accept the fact that they are losing their innate ability to feel compassion toward their fellow HUMAN BEINGS.
Be careful with how you represent SRK as a collective. Just because you seem to have that perspective CERTAINLY does not make it true because your ONE perspective does not make it so-- your perspective can be right in it’s own essence but you do not speak for everyone unless you truly see through everyone’s eyes. Human beings need to feel compassion otherwise humankind will eradicate itself.

Give it sometime and your soul to will erode into the bare essence of what classifies you as a human being.
I do not see why you see my perspective as nonsense when in fact it could be true. You are afraid to grasp what you think you don’t understand but the truth is that is what compassion truly is. Some people do lack compassion, yes but the people that do have compassion need to set an example for the ones that don’t-- so they could follow and keep the flow of compassion growing instead of dwindling and ultimately stopping it. It is not nonsense, it is the TRUTH from a different perspective. I understand your point of view and respect it. Do not think I am trying to push you away because I truly want to bring you closer.
To be human is to know true compassion. That is what people are so afraid of. This subject is very real and some of the posts in this thread do contribute to that fact! Those are perspectives from a different point of view. Do not write this off as nonsense because it isn’t!
