I was driving back home tonight just like usual. I cross the bridge and go down the hill and I feel something weird in my front wheel. I hear weird thumping sounds and decide to slow down and direct myself to the right lane and next thing I see is my wheel rolling by next to me and ends up on the other side of the highway. I don’t know how I kept calm but I managed to park my car safely while it was only on three wheels and then called in for a tow truck. I asked the driver to bring my car to the garage that changed my winter tires last saturday and left it there. Its most likely their fucking fault. It seems like the screws of the wheels werent tightened enough. What the fuck do i do now??
I hear that you can sue anyone and anything for little to no reason in 'murica - so that you can get some $ for the inconvenience.
This does indeed sound pretty serious tho… So… Idk… Sue them , maybe?
I’m in canada
Sue them. Look up a lawyer and see if you have a case.
@Sacr3D Glad you’re ok. That’s some terrifying negligence on their part.
I would have shit enough bricks to build a projects.
Glad that you’re OK, but I’m mostly jealous that you have snow where you live :’(
Yea I would have freaked if my front wheel decided to race me in those conditions. Also about 30 min ago a fucking hail blizzard just tore the roof of my shed and now i need to repair it, fucking 2 feet of water to tread through as well, yas.
Not so much anymore. I have a friend who broke her foot in a car accident. She had insurance and it wasn’t her fault. She could not sue the guy. They don’t let you sue people in car accidents so easily anymore.
I’m going to the garage today and talk to them. I couldnt sleep at all last night
So which garage is this? I want to make sure nobody I know ever uses them.
I think at minimum you deserve a new wheel. Just maybe not from their service next time
SHIT. Glad your okay for one and secondly diff get on them a new tire and maybe $ for being scared shitless. Just glad our alright to be honest.
Almost dying isn’t as enlightening as people make it out to be.
I know I mentioned it before(and I like to insert myself into as many discussions as possible), but I flipped my shit going 70-80 on the highway last month when going back home and got out with only a scratch on my finger.
I didn’t freak out either, I was thinking “Well, I guess this is it, I had a good run”, well I actually didn’t think anything, I kind of just went with it.

never trust “shops” professional or hole in the wall like that no matter their service record.
You should always tighten and check how tight or untight the bolts are on the vehicle yourself after each “service”.
^This. A couple months back I took my car into Sears to change my tires and every single last bolt on them were loose when I got it back. Thank god I had my father there to change my brake pads that very same day to confirm it otherwise I would have been fucked beyond repair.
Or just stop being a scrub and change the wheels yourself
I can confirm this guys; i was the mechanic who dealt with Sacr3D’s car.
One of my best friends survived after a head-on collision with a truck a few years ago.
He was with his [ex]wife and his stepson and all of them escaped virtually unharmed from this:
