So...how was your tournament performance this year?

I placed 2nd at the Alienware singles tourney at PAX this year. The competition was mostly a joke though and I lost to a Sagat.

I recently attended a Seattle Versus tourney at the HUB at the University of Washington and, I’m not gonna lie, I sucked.

perhaps this thread may not be the best place to ask but does anyone know where i can find tournys? i live in the dead middle of Michigan and i dont think a single arcade, let alone a tournament, exists. i dont even know anyone who plays fighting games

Here would be a good place to check as well as other threads in the regional matchmaking forum. The only thing is, they might be quite a travel from where you are.

Not great. I got 9th at a ranbat once. Did okay at a couple smaller tournies.

Gotta redeem myself this weekend.

one and out in every tourney I’ve entered here, other than a team tourney.

At nationals, my first round draw was the guy who ended up winning the Beijing leg of the tourney.

I learned two things from that:

1. I’m really unlucky
2. Be it that I got a round on him, had I performed better 3rd round, there would have been a different champ that day; IE, Asian tournies are mad random.

Best thing I did this year was beat Li Joe’s C viper only to get crushed by his Sagat.

Bisonopolis PnT tourney #1 was a nice win for me lol.
Won a couple of other local tourneys @ Peter Pan Arcade - haven’t been there in months - I think it’s closed now actually.

Didn’t so well at some smaller cf tourneys earlier on.

Been so busy with life - i wanna get back into SF :sad:

Webster’s achievements list (between 2008 - today):

• I ran A LOT OF TOURNAMENTS!!! Between last year and this year. Got to visit the West Coast for the first time in my life. Pretty awesome IMO. :tup:

• Played well in some tournaments. Others, not so much.

• Broke only 2 controllers.

• I’m not even gonna mention my forum/irc record.

• But the best achievement of all is…

Yeah, but it was a really small tournament. And the chi players who actually play the game/matter weren’t able to participate (got there late).

So that’s why I didn’t mention it.

My wins in anything doesn’t matter to anyone.

And my losses only matter, when I break a controller. :lol: Because I am always expected to lose in everything I play.
